Guyton literally stopped one drive and tried to stop the next 2... Schotty did get way to conservative with the defense he has but that first series Guyton stopped.

A HC worth anything would have pulled Guyton out of the game after the second penalty to send a message to the braindead bum.

At this point you gotta try something.. You CANNOT send the offense out every week saying "Score 40 or we have no chance." Offenses have off days.. or just face an actual NFL defense and can't put up 40.. Counting on that is a complete house of cards.

i honestly wonder if he has the power to bench a high draft pick or anyone thats considered a key starter. An UDFA or a 6th rounder thats not doing his job? Sure. But other than that, It may be a 'check with Jerry first' thing.

I know all the anger is at Eberflus, but Schotty was horrendous today. He still doesn’t understand how bad this defense truly is, if he did he would never punt the ball with anything less than 4th and 5. They were never winning today but him punting twice on 4th and 3 or less was playing right into the hands of the broncos, same for the 4th and goal, kicking a fg was a loss. He needs to start coaching with zero trust for this defense nor should he

I did not like our approach to that either. We should have done what the Broncos did.. they called the "whoever #25 is on is the target" play over and over. That's what you're supposed to do when a backup comes in or you have an inexperienced player. Attack mercilessly. We just seemed to kinda stick with our offensive game plan.. Which with a normal defense you can get away with but with this defense the mindset has to be 40 burger and the best way to get there is to attack their weakest link until they replace him or help him. Either way we should have had at least two TDs on him before they had a chance to regroup.

You speak truth, but what does he have to worry about? He's already guaranteed another year here, and I'd guess 4-5.
