Quinnen Williams requested a trade from the Jets on three separate occasions prior to him being dealt today to the Cowboys, @Connor_J_Hughes reports:
"Quinnen Williams' relationship with the Jets has been deteriorating, and this goes all the way back to when they made the decision to move on from Aaron Rodgers. That's when things started to change.
When Aaron Glenn was then very critical of Quinnen Williams in a 1-on-1 meeting and critical of him publicly to us, that is when things truly began to spiral.
He let the Jets know he had zero plans to extend...he had stressed to the Jets that he wanted to rework his deal. The Jets rebuffed that."
More from Connor and @ZackBlatt on Jets Final Drive:
If we designate Osa as Post June 1st cut, we can save a good chunk of change on the salary cap, and that is exactly what I would do.Osa, he just took your spot!
I think Osa and Clark rotate consistently now.Osa, he just took your spot!
That’s not accurate. If we designate Osa as Post June 1st cut, we can save a good chunk of change on the salary cap, and that is exactly what I would do.
They way they have been playing, Osa Is currently the 4th best DT on the team.
Well, hell........just move him to DE (lol)That’s not accurate.
POST-6/1 RELEASE
2026 Dead Cap: $20,750,000
2027 Dead Cap: $12,000,000
2026 Savings: $0
Even if they designated him a June 1st cut, they save $0.
They’re stuck with him until 2027 at the earliest.
I think the Quinnen Williams addition affects Kenny Clark’s future more than Osa right now.
Most players will have at least one career season with peeking stats but rarely follow up with ANOTHER season at that level ( Bland and Diggs for interceptions, Barkley and Henry rushing for nearly 2000 yards, Lamb over 100 catches, happens with QBs all the times ). They level off, but that doesn't mean they are no longer an impact player. In short, a player rarely matches career season statistics. He seems to be a one year wonder like Diggs and Bland also.
One good, outlier of a season, and never been able to match it.

You think Bland and Diggs are impact players? Most players will have at least one career season with peeking stats but rarely follow up with ANOTHER season at that level ( Bland and Diggs for interceptions, Barkley and Henry rushing for nearly 2000 yards, Lamb over 100 catches, happens with QBs all the times ). They level off, but that doesn't mean they are no longer an impact player. In short, a player rarely matches career season statistics.
But you should know this ......what are they teaching at Knowledge University?![]()
You are right. I am not sure how I misread that. That’s not accurate.

Agreed! You are right. I am not sure how I misread that.
That's a bummer. Maybe it was confirmation bias. I think Clark is playing better ball right now than Osa.
you weren't getting him without a first and there is no one in the DT draft as good as this guy. Why would you ask why? Do you not understand how good Williams is? In your world, you would hold on to the first rounder and draft another Mazi Smith at DT.Why...why give up a first rounder for Williams?...another stupid move by Jerry!
