Schrager: I expect the Cowboys to put up those Louis Vuitton and Giorgio Armani prices in FA

Not at all. Take Crosby in a trade for the 12th pick.. Who is ever left over from Jacob Rodriguez or CJ Allen at #20. And I'd be satisfied with a very good start.

Not a totally unrealistic scenario for the Raiders or Cowboys.
How does our secondary get any better in that scenario?

Watch them trade for Crosby, Fitzpatrick and still do business as usual in FA just to mess with our heads
I’d be totally fine with that.

They will have filled their two biggest defensive needs with two of the top players at their respective positions.

Supplement that with a few mid-priced free agents and the rest in the draft.

I’d be over the moon!

Get Crosby and Fitz!

I come from the school of the front 7's effectiveness has a huge trickle down effect on the back end.

Remember how good Diggs and Bland looked when there was constant Micah pressure?

Another fallback is the fact that Parker's roots are in secondary play so I guess I'm counting on a little coaching up there too.

Acquiring Fitzpatrick as others have posted, would be a very good acquisition as well.

If true they'll make the playoffs. If they treat this as they have a 2 year window to win a championship and go get 1-2 top 20 FAs to help the defense they can be really good. I'm skeptical they do so as they tend to look for the best bargains over established production....but if they do watch out for the Cowboys. Defensively they can turn this thing around quick if they don't take shortcuts and actually start playing to win.
That's a lot of ifs TP

people like you are insufferable. Theres no right choice with your kind. damned if you do, damned if you dont
Eh I think he makes a fair point...just doing more than last year isn't enough. Its time to get serious about winning and go get players that actually move the needle. Jerry & Stephen shouldnt be let of the hook for getting us 'better than Kenneth Murray' FAs.

Love this post
Me too.
IT "could" happen.
IF they would just show some kinda tangible proof that they will act on it.

Give up that 12th and go get Crosby.
Go and get Fitzpatrick.
Draft a good linebacker or 2.

This aint some impossible scenario.
Do those above things and the team is instantly in a competitive conversation with the other playoff caliber teams.

It's right in front of them.
Now go and do it.

We will make a move and sit back and wait for a while!!

My question is with either pick in the first round, maxx is better than any player you're going to draft with that pick, he'll just cost more that's it

Yep, exactly. Totally agree.

To me its a no brainer decision.

An already proven commodity. No wondering on IF he'll develop as a draft pick's 1st year learning curve would be a given. This way there is no waiting.

Excellent player who fills an immediate need.
