Linehan says MATT Cassel has worked real hard to get ready for SUNday.
Linehan says when Witten gets double coverage is a challenge for the other players to get open.

Scott Linehan says he wouldn't expect drastic changes at RB. Wants to get C-Mike involved, but expects Randle to get bulk of carries.
Asked if he thought Dez could play without practicing, Linehan: "I think Dez could pretty much do anything Dez decides to do."

Cowboys OC Scott Linehan said Dez Bryant worked on side at practice today. Said he hasn't been ruled out. But certainly a long shot to play.
Scott Linehan said Cowboys aren't making big changes in run game but will give RB Christine Michael more carries. 2 in game would be double.

I'm sick of the panty thief!!

Me too. I admittedly was a big supporter of Randle. I thought maybe he could finish some of that meat off the proverbial bone.

Randle is not horrible, but there's nothing special about him. Now there was nothing truly special about DM while he was here, but the guy was a warrior, and the team respected him. There is nothing that makes Joseph stand out. He's a middle of the pack, change of pace back that is STEALING carries (no pun intended). Joseph is better suited coming off the bench, not starting.

With that said, Christine Michael better get more than 8 carries. Garrett and Linehan owe the offense at least that much. I want in the range of 10-12 carries for Michael. The Cowboys made the trade. Now do something with it!

Saddest thing I've read all day. Not surprising, but definitely sad.
Old man Witten gets double covered and the other guys can't take advantage.
WR needs to be a major concern in the offseason.

I actually feel a little optimistic with Butler back in the lineup this week. Heck his speed can help occupy a safety. If they can hit him deep once, then maybe Witten wont have to be double covered.

In other words, if the Cowboys win, it will be because of the defense and the injuries on the Giants side of the ball. Got it.

As do I and I just made a post about using Dez for a play or two at least as a decoy on simple routes, but it makes me sad that TWill showed his true stripes along with Street and when the fat hit the flame- it burnt.
This team has to get an infusion of talent at WR besides Dez and Beas-niche-ly.

Yeah, that "Beasley is uncoverable" talk went away real quick. DBs are getting more physical with him at the point of attack. Still like the guy, but the preseason praise was a bit much.
TWill has been disappointing lately too.

No doubt, so much of this is Romo not being there. But come-on guys, help out.

If you some recall, he marched the team down for two 4th qtr TDs (and the game -winner) without Dez last time they faced NY.
