league rules prohibit this. I believe they can open or close them at halftime but I may be wrong.Should just have a dude with a remote control..
Close when we are on O.. open when the opposition is.
if only the jones were that smart in strategiesShould just have a dude with a remote control..
Close when we are on O.. open when the opposition is.
When has our retractable dome been open? Apparently that was also a mistake.Oh, it definitely was a mistake. Some reported it was intentionally designed that way to give the Cowboys an advantage. I doubt that.
I think the last time they opened it up, a piece of metal came crashing down below. Or was that the Texans? My mind escapes me at the moment. LOLWhen has our retractable dome been open? Apparently that was also a mistake.
I believe you are correct.I think the last time they opened it up, a piece of metal came crashing down below. Or was that the Texans? My mind escapes me at the moment. LOL
Actually, is that not exactly home field advantage,I think Jerry is trying to use the sun as a “home field” advantage, similar to how baseball teams utilize their stadiums, such as Boston’s Fenway Park with its Green Monster and short fences in right field. The idea is yes, it is easier to hit a double in Fenway if you hit a long ball to left field or hit a HR if you hit one to right field compared to other parks. However, both teams have an equal opportunity to bat. The advantage or disadvantage will impact both teams equally. The home team should have the advantage because they regularly play games in their stadium.
It was open for the Packers game. Could have been the Giants but I am 99% sure it was zgreen Bay.I believe you are correct.
Really are you just gonna keep doing this you mean it annoys you has nothing to do with money at all jerry doesn't care about the curtains costing money they're already there other people in events put them up you know they have been storage that stadium actually doesn't belong to Jerry Jones it belongs to the city of Arlington they lease it back so whoever is having a event there can put them up if they want..You mean annoying???
Cheap *** penny pinching Jerry won't put up some curtains for crying out loud.
Yes it was open.. It's very rarely open and we have a bad record when it's open I don't know why just probably coincidence but I'm tired of hearing about the sun shining into a football stadium about five times a year about five total plays since 2009 it's actually impacted a game..It was open for the Packers game. Could have been the Giants but I am 99% sure it was zgreen Bay.
That's zero to do about money and it is kind of odd that you think that it was it's not about money at all and they're not going to put curtains up it's been that way since 2009 and a lot of y'all just need to get over it I don't understand the problem...You mean annoying???
Cheap *** penny pinching Jerry won't put up some curtains for crying out loud.
No that was last year or the year before but they opened it during the Packers game this year they literally opened it but they definitely have a bad record when it's open and it's probably a coincidence but maybe that's why they don't open it it's a superstition..I think the last time they opened it up, a piece of metal came crashing down below. Or was that the Texans? My mind escapes me at the moment. LOL
Don't see the disadvantage the thing has been open for 16 years and there's maybe been five total plays that actually had an impact on the game Outdoor stadiums have sun wind rain snow and some of them have slow turf mud slippery it happens somebody slips down I don't see where this is any different than any other football game especially outdoor games that have a lot of unique stadium quirks we can call itThe sun is either going to be in the QBs eyes or the WRs eyes, so I see no advantage at all.
It's not let me give you a little breakdown of this this time of year the sun changes angles and it gets lower and it would have to be in an afternoon game and it had to come perfectly without clouds to come even through the glass and then the odds of somebody actually being on part of the field that it actually blinds you it's crazy rare..The sun is either going to be in the QBs eyes or the WRs eyes, so I see no advantage at all.
Well it is not exactly home field advantage when you are the home team and you make mistakes because of it.Actually, is that not exactly home field advantage,
but this is not the first stadium that has issues things, that are unique that just come along with that particular stadium remember the hump the alleged hump that Brett Favre couldn't figure out in the first half of at Texas Stadium you remember the bag grass or turf that they have in the Giants and Jets Stadium nobody wants to replace you know all that snow wind rain and all that stuff that actually effects games there in Buffalo NY we go through rain and uh lightning delays at other stadiums.
I understand you know the Suns out on open stadiums the weather is involved in a lot of games and now all of a sudden Jerryd at fault for not putting up curtains when he just doesn't feel like it it's not about money it's about esthetics..
Just doesn't like them his wife or his sister they said they don't like him they don't want him up..
The end I'm tired of hearing about this this stadium has been here since 2009 and it just like other stadiums you have to plan for things you guys remember the old San Francisco 49ers stadium that was always muddy I mean muddy is ** I mean seriously it was terrible to play in but they did it and they had championship games there.
I mean seriously you all sound like a bunch of little hens I don't get it not you but just everybody on Facebook that stadium is now 16 years old get over it stop complaining about the sun poking into a football game and maybe has affected five total plays because it's hardly there unless it's a specific time of the day at the specific time of a season like right around now where the sun changes angles that's it it's no big deal.
This is why they invented that black for under the eye they have lenses you can put on they also is when you're doing the coin toss they do think about just like they would with the wind and what side of the field do you want if you lose the toss or do you want to start if you win the toss this is actually things that go on on other stadiums.....
What I'm saying its neither a home field advantage nor disadvantage, why even worry about it in your gameplan. Texas stadium had the hole in the roof and the sun was a lot more revelant, the Cowboys used it to their advantage by putting the opposing team on the sun side, whether it worked or not, I dont know. It's not let me give you a little breakdown of this this time of year the sun changes angles and it gets lower and it would have to be in an afternoon game and it had to come perfectly without clouds to come even through the glass and then the odds of somebody actually being on part of the field that it actually blinds you it's crazy rare..
I don't get how you don't understand it ain't there all game it's there during only a part of the season like right now where the sun changed angles and it's lower and it's more prominent at a certain angle that it can hit that glass But it isn't on the entire field it's only in a certain spot every now and again so yeah it might affect somebody just like rain wind and sun in the outdoor stadium or slippery turf I mean so I go on balls are like hard to catch because they're wet I mean are we gonna make every football team have a close stadium and have curtains if it has glass in it? By the way I believe they showed an Atlanta game where it had a very similar problem once they chose not to put curtains up everybody needs to get over it seriously i've never seen people complain over something that's been 16 years and counting but yet think they can complain it away.
Part of our stadium One or two games a year that's it. This affected maybe five impactful plays in its entire existence 5 in the NFL that people can point out where it did affect a guy that couldn't catch a football or whatever but it's not in their eyes the whole game jesus you do realize they used to play football in the sun....
Yes they do maybe you didn't read I'll make it shorter other teams when you're at certain fields you have to figure out that really strong winds that affect field goals affect kickoffs it affects the ball in the air they do take into account which way the Suns going or not going when they're doing the coin flips it is part of the game plans on where you want to be to start the first quarter or in the 4th quarter...What I'm saying its neither a home field advantage nor disadvantage, why even worry about it in your gameplan. Texas stadium had the hole in the roof and the sun was a lot more revelant, the Cowboys used it to their advantage by putting the opposing team on the sun side, whether it worked or not, I dont know.
