Just curious…why do people get so hung up on this?

I’ve heard Jerry’s explanation before and while it comes off as a cheap excuse, I do see the logic in trying to have some kind of advantage linked to your home stadium.

Both teams have to deal with the sun but the advantage would be Dallas because they have to deal with it every home game. Obviously, factors could impact that but some teams are more prepared to play in the cold or snow than the Cowboys would be … we would be more prepared for the glare I guess since there aren’t any other elements in the stadium.

The Colts have some pretty serious sunlight in their stadium as well I've noticed.

They have curtains but refuse to put them on for football games. Every other event has them.

The only reason Jerry refuses to use them for Cowboys games is because the fans called him out for how dumb it was. He can't let us win. Same reason he hasn't stepped down as GM.

Because we've been paying attention long term. There have been several high profile moments where the sun screwed plays up for the Cowboys, but no major incidents for the other teams.

The main point is that it's stupid to have a controllable factor that hurts your team at home even if it has a chance to do the same for the opponent.

In Texas Stadium the Cowboys used the sun to their advantage. The opponent was always disadvantaged by it, and it never hurt the Cowboys.

It's hard to believe the stadium is already 16 years old. It took 3 years to build.
