The coaching staff sees these guys in practice. At what point do you just trust what they think over the intangible of a player that seems to not get on the field?

I struggled with Romo taking over for Bledsoe, for a similar reason that you two have about Showers, but maybe in reverse.

I saw the experienced pro as the more viable player over a guy who warmed the bench. But the coaches had seen enough. It was the right move and I needed to get over it.

So maybe the coaches have seen enough of Dak vs Showers and you get what they think is the best foot forward.

I am not telling you to get over it. I'm just saying their paid opinion is Dak is where they will plant their flag unless something drastically changes.

This is a good thing, by the way.

Not sure how you're reading me but I think Dak is the backup and Showers goes to the PS as emergency QB game day. There is no current need to put him on the the 53 unless you're sure he'll not get thru waivers and you're married to him as the #3 for some reason.

Is it just me or does BB not seem like a Dak fan? I haven't read much positive from him on the rookie.

He says a lot positive about him on the podcasts, but he also said that Dak is a gamer. He looks much better in games than he does in practice. And nobody on the podcasts has disagreed.
