Somebody teach TWill how to get out of bounds. He goofed up again against SF costing us a timeout. This WILL rear it's head and bite us later if he continues to play stupid.

I don't think it was a mistake, gaining the extra yards knowing we had timeout to use in my view was the right thing.

We had two timeouts at the time, not three, but it was still the right decision to get yards considering the situation

You're right. My mistake.

But yes the pass was to the middle and the important thing was to get the first down.

We had all three of our timeouts left at that point and the pass was to the middle of the field. He didn't need to even try to run out of bounds in the first place. If we weren't ready to use a to there we wouldnt have thrown a pass to the dead center of the field.

Some of you will complain over anything, I swear..

Actually, it is a legitimate gripe. Williams should have gotten out of bounds. There was no need to piss off a timeout there , even though we had one to burn. It limits other options after that point. You really need to keep one timeout for the field goal attempt assuming you don't get the touchdown.

I don't buy the whole "Green was early on all the snaps" rhetoric - I rewatched several plays from the game and it seemed to me that he was fixated on the count and got off the line EXACTLY when the ball was snapped.

I mean props to Chaz for having dang good timing, I don't think you can fault him on that

lol...unfortunately, east/west yards don't count. He ran all the way east across the field and advanced the ball an extra what? 5 yards? He wound up over by the sideline and could have just stepped out of bounds saving the timeout but NO, he turns north, got no more yards, was tackled inbounds, and we had to call a timeout.

Once again, it didn't cost us this time but it will eventually.

I looked at that as a smart play to try to get to the sidelines, as well he got the first down.
If he cut it up the field, there was a very good chance he did not get that first down. AND they still would have had to take the time out.

Brown developing would be key since both Claiborne and Carr are FAs.

Carr can hit the open market for all I care.

Carr must being doing something right, we didn't hear his name called much on anything bad.
And I will wait until the end of the year before I say let him walk. As of today anyway. LOL.

He did not have a chance to get out of bounds. He was heading that way, but there was no way he could have IMO.
He did what was needed, get the first down first.

Green's improved play surprises me but it probably shouldn't. He didn't play last year and now the rust is coming off. Happy for Green. Happy for the team. Happy for me.

I must admit that Green has done better than I thought he would. He does hold on 70% of the plays, however. With Dak, he is bearable. If we go back to Romo he will get him killed.

Dude, come on. He had an unimpeded path to the sideline but instead of going out he stopped, tried to cut upfield and was tackled inbounds. He did the EXACT same thing that he did at the end of week one.

I don't know if he watched the same game we did. LOL. I don't know how anyone can defend Williams' failure to try to get out of bounds on either bone headed play. Wash, rinse, repeat.
