Basically Wilson is over-rated and not a pocket passer and can't play in a timing-based offense with excellence, but gets paid bigger bucks than Romo, because he's supposedly better than Romo...
He gets paid more because he's younger. He's a different QB than Romo, not necessarily better or worse, just different. Romo would get killed if he played behind that Seattle line, and Russell wouldn't exactly thrive in Dallas's offense.
Romo has been playing behind a trash line for years... Romo is even better than Wilson on his feet.
With Seattle's defense Romo would have probably been a lock for HOF by now, because of SB victories..
Wilson completed his first pass in the SB in the second half. They were a 3 and out offense. He threw like five INTs against GB and the Seattle defense held Rodgers the whole game, until GB coaching decides to get stupid and played single man coverage that whole last drive.
Wilson got paid because of the defense. Doesn't matter if he's young or not. That's why your seeing him struggle now, the defense not playing at the all world level it was playing at.
We're not talking about the past, we're talking about now. If Romo was playing behind Seattle's line right now without any elite WR's, he wouldn't make it past 2 games. I'm not saying that Wilson is better than Romo, but he is a good QB and he is perfect for that Seattle team. Romo is perfect for Dallas's team, I don't know why people feel the need to compare guys who play two completely different styles. They're both great at what they do.
I disagree..
Romo would be doing much better than Wilson in that Seattle offense. Romo on average, during the bad OL years was getting sacked on the average of upper 30s a season. Only last year was it reduced.
Romo has been making a play off his feet for years.
Wilson got paid at a rate of one of the best in the league. Yet, he doesn't carry the team like any of these QBs. Being young doesn't have anything to do with the situation. He is what he is...
The offense of Seattle is limited because of his skill set.

Seahawks O-Line
I was surprised the Giants got their running game going like they did. It clearly had an effect on our pass rush because I thought we would chase Eli all night the way Philly did. Maybe I'm still pissed we lost that game.I expected much if the same against the Giants, with our pass rush at full strength and New York's offensive line coming off of an embarrassing performance against Philadelphia. Instead, the Ginats did a much better job than expected, especially in the run game.
They don't have a good O-Line but it's definitely not the worst pass blocking in the league, it's not even close. Russell Wilson gets himself in trouble sometimes by how he's running around and allowing guys to chase him and hold on to the ball more than anything. They have a good LT, a good Center and a good RG.

I do and he's playing well. You do realize that Max Unger was traded, right? They have Drew Nowak as starting center, who was a practice squad guy last year.
I think the Cowboys run defense ranking is inflated based on the Philadelphia game and needs to be cleaned up. All the "Rushmen" in the world don't do much good when they can just gash you with the run
If anyone has been watching the Seahawks offensive line this year, you will probably agree they have the worst pass blocking line in the league. Russel Wilson has been sacked 31 times through 7 games, yes you read that correctly, 31 times. Their line in the Lions game was non-existent, I'd even go as far as saying it's the worst pass protection I've seen since the David Carr days in Houston.
The downside is, the run blocking is still good in Seattle. We looked bad against the run in New York in the first half, if Lynch gets going, they can cover up the pass blocking weakness. If we can keep Lynch in check and contain Wilson and not let him improvise on the run, we have a real shot at winning. Lee and McClain are the key to this game, our defensive line will get it's pressure.
I still believe that once we start playing with a lead we will see a different pass rush with teams shifting to a run/pass ratio that favors us better. Much like last year when teams had to play catch up.
