Richard Sherman has thrived as a centerpiece of the Seattle Seahawks' secondary for the past six seasons, but the franchise could reportedly part ways with the three-time All-Pro if the right offer comes along.

According to The Ringer's Michael Lombardi (h/t NEPatriotsDraft.com's Mike Loyko), "Seattle really would be open to moving Richard Sherman if the offer was serious."

Previously signed to a four-year, $56 million contract, Sherman is owed base salaries of $11.4 million this season and $11 million in 2018 before he becomes a free agent in the spring of 2019.

Those are steep numbers, but Sherman has proved worth the investment as he's remained effective into his late 20s.

Edit: Mods feel free to move this to the fanzone if you think it's worth a discussion.

Thats a tough one, and Im not big on trading for players with big contracts. You get alot with Sherman though. An elite CB who fits our scheme, a player that adds am identity, and a locker room leader.

Tough call for me

And it's at least 2 years for a reasonable contract considering he's a top 5 at minimum CB(relative to what the others get paid). He's also been a turnover machine when teams have challenged and is always on the field. I likely wouldn't give up a 1st because of his age, but would probably give up something like a 2017 2nd and a 2018 3rd or 4th.

That sounds reasonable. He is also not a CB reliant on speed, so he should age well

No thanks. Use the pick to draft a corner and save the money.

I'm not so sure Richard Sherman is 'that dude' any more and his contract is too large.

I'd offer 4th rounder, or La'el Collins. I know that wouldn't get it done, but it's what I'd offer.

He'll be 29 at the end of this month and some of you want to give up a 1st or 2nd? Come on guys.

His best football is behind him.

I'd do a conditional 3rd.

I mean, when a team wants to trade their face of their defense, something is up.
Either they have cap issues, player isn't playing up to contract or the eventually decline might be kicking in.
