Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has filed for divorce from his wife of over two years, the team announced on Wednesday. Wilson and his wife Ashton were married in January 2012, just three months before Wilson was selected in the third round of the NFL Draft.

If she is a gold digger, she isn't that good at it. She found a QB who only went in the 3rd round. He is a couple of years away from signing his second contract, which is where the big money comes into play.

Was thinking the same thing, rookie contract is chump change to what he will be getting. As soon as the ink drys contact agent and tell him lets talk new deal? Ca-Ching lol

If you can't hack it any longer than two years with the woman that you chose to spend the rest of your life with, .. then you picked the wrong one.

They dated in high school, .. she is no gold digger.
There are many later rewards for staying with the bride of your youth. He has forfeited that now.

She was with him, and has been with him since he was nothing. She loved him for all of the right reasons. Any girl he meets now will always know who he is and what he is worth.

He thinks the grass will be greener probably because all of these good looking women are coming on to him since he has become famous.

But he will find out that he let a good one get away, .. and that he messed up.

But we do not know the story.
I have a wealthy buddy who was faithfully married to his high school sweetheart. They finally divorced after 17 years and her admitting that she had slept with more than 30 different men during that span.
She's still getting at least half though.
Just saying, we don't for sure know this story.

If he thinks it's not going to work though, best together out now. Sadly

I have great respect for the institution of marriage, but our culture has tainted it and ruined it.

And so young kids that really don't know any difference for themselves, follow the way of our culture and lives get all messed up.

Our culture has not tainted or ruined anything. We don't all have to same exact view on marriage and we certainly don't all go through the same experiences. Just work on your own marriage and let others work on theirs.

I imagine the divorce rate is high in pro sports. They don't live a normal life if you know what I mean.
