I could care less about where he is ranked. Just glad he is on our team.

Sean Lee is a very good, occasionally excellent, player. Criminally underrated? I don't see it. 79 seems reasonable to me. Could he be slightly higher? Yeah, probably. But he could probably also be ranked a bit lower without making me blink. Are you prepared to say he's top 50? Seems to me I could easily identify at least 2 players on every team in the league (several more on some) that are more impactful (better, really) than Lee. That places him out of the top 60 right there.

Let's see how this list plays out. As of now, at least two players mentioned are ranked higher. Do you think Orakpo and Clinton Dix
deserve the higher ranking? I bet he could easily be placed in the top 60 when it's all said and done.

I'm curious. Which two players on Cleveland do you have rated higher than Lee?

Joe Thomas for sure. Maybe Hayden as well. Cleveland has obviously been one of the more talent-starved teams. Going forward, I'd expect Garrett to be a more impactful player as well.

I'm sure, at any rate, that an argument could be made that Lee should be higher than several players that will end up ranking above him. Maybe an argument can even be made for top 60. But a very reasonable argument can also be made for 79, in my view.

I won't waste a second debating someone thinking joe Haden could be ranked higher than Sean Lee. Have a nice day:thumbup:

He's also 1st team All-Pro, which means he's one of 22 players in the world considered the best at what they do

Well, that really just means he's the best at his position. He could be the best linebacker and still be the 79th best player. Now, if he's the best linebacker (or one of the top three) as a first-team All-Pro and the 20th-best linebacker on this list, then that would be an injustice.

Right on.

Dude picks a guy and can't even spell his name correctly. I wonder how many times he's seen Joe Haden play.
Joe Thomas has been an outstanding player over the years. I'd take Sean Lee over both players.

To be fair, this list is more about the 2017 performance rather than who is a more talented player.

Orakpo had a pretty damn good season, I don't have a problem with him being ahead. Most of the players on the top 100 you can usually make a case for should be top 50.

The issue I have with these lists is them placing players that played in 1-4 games in the top 100 just due to name recognition.

Maybe. But 79th isn't an insult. Top 50 is basically saying he would be one of the top 2 players on any team in the league. You could argue he's not even Top 5 on the Cowboys.

Agreed. You make a good point.

This list is doing what lists do. They are conversation starters. Not many lists out there are in 100% agreement.

I wanna see the argument when they start ranking our offensive players on this list if we want to think about Lee.

Lee will be our only defensive player on the list at all.

Fair points. I agree, they can't keep up with their own criteria.

That's true, but just judging by the past history of this list there will be plenty of linebackers still to be unveiled... which means he's going to be shafted.
