Sean Lee doesn't mince words.

The Cowboys didn't just happen to fall to the bottom of the NFC East. They aren't closer to a top five pick than a playoff spot due to injuries or bad luck.

They earned it.

"We didn't expect this at all, but this is what we've earned,'' Lee said. "We have to find a way to play better football and we have to find a way to continue building. We haven't done that.

"We have guys in here who have won in the past and we have to get back to that winning formula. That starts with this game and it starts going forward.''

Injuries go a long way in explaining the team's 4-9 record, but Lee refuses to accept that premise.

"You can't use that as an excuse,'' the Cowboys linebacker said. "You have to find a way to win ballgames...

Bollocks the city laws! They were discontinued when one of our drunken hay riders fell of the cart and the city was sued for $670 in punitive, actual damages and $59 for emotional distress.

And he has stayed healthy.

Concussions are another story, I don't really count concussions as a traditional injury considering there isn't much you can do to prevent one and teams are forced to follow protocol and hold players out if feels necessary.
