Lee was BY FAR our best linebacker last year.

So, here's our situation.

Jaylon looks like an overpaid bust.

Leighton looks like he a couple of hits away from retirement.

Lee is gone elsewhere perhaps.

So...........?

I agree that Lee was definitely our best LB last year, but I'd like to wait another 8 or 10 games to see about Jaylon.

Dude showed game and didn't break last season and is okay with being a backup and took a hometown discount for the team in the past . I'm cool with the Cowboys bringing him back. I figured he should start transitioning to coaching, but obviously not only is the fire still there, but he still played well.

Odds are a starter may get banged up and miss a game or two, so he's good depth, especially with Joe Thomas an UFA as well.

I wouldn't do it if I were Jerry. Our defense was total trash last year and we need to improve. Discount or retire/move on.
