At some point....he should retire.....career has been marked by injury. His position and TE has been stifled by "loyalty".

It was either Jarwin or Schultz who said Witten was always very helpful to the young TEs on the team. That "not helpful" narrative was started by Marty Bennett, and seems to be false.

I hadn't seen that comment. Thank you! Makes me better about Jason. Always bothered me that he was not helping anyone.

Lol we're depending on a 34 year old coming off of hernia surgery. This is insanity.

Somebody knows if this was minimal invasive surgery. Because if its the classic method there is no way he is able to play after 6 weeks.

Pray tell how many degrees in bio-mechanics or medicine you have?

Also, we're not not taking about arm strength. Nice straw man though.

Uh, you do realize the arm attaches to the collarbone via the shoulder and the neck is teaming with nerves that implicate all of these areas. It’s really not that complicated. The point is, just because one is talking about a different LIMB, doesn’t mean the body isn’t inter-related. It’s you that is engaging in straw man’s, as is obvious by the fact that it was you that used the analogy of another body part, aka the collarbone being different from the cervical vertebrae to imply that the two aren’t inter-related. And now you say, “well we aren’t talking about the arm”...

Give it up. You have no knowledge of the neck causing the broken collar bone or even being a factor. Just embarrassing yourself now.

The fact that they are still counting on guys like Lee, Vander Esh shows that they just cross their fingers and hope for the best. Yea, that seems to always work. Add in the fact Jaylon Smith is one of the worst starting linebackers in the league right now shows they grossly screwed up in the linebacker department with no real plan. It’s a glaring hole and they knew it could go this way.

It’s terrible that I expect him not to play more than him being on the field. It’s sad he could have had a great career.
when healthy, it has been an incredible player.... dude's just not be healthy too much.

It's gotta suck mentally/emotionally to know you have the ability but your body just will not cooperate

Sean Lee takes the field! And he's injured. That's basically how it goes for him.

With all their various injuries we might have the parts for one complete linebacker between the 3 of them
