And there are others who didn't thrive.

I think Rob will fail as a head coach. Sure I think someone will take a chance on him at some point, but I don't think he has what it takes to run a whole team.

He was on the fast track. I think his star is hitched to his brother's wagon. He's the less professional Ryan twin. As long as the professional one can win, he's got a shot. If Rex loses, I don't think Rob gets his chance. It'll be interesting to see.

If JG can be a headcoach , Rob Ryan can find some success as one too.

Rex is actually a really good HC. People forget he went to the AFC champ game with Sanchez. Rex has yet to have a GOOD QB. When he does lookout.

Heck, he even made the Jets competitive this year with Geno's horrid play. His players love to play for him, if you don't agree watch the clip where the lockerroom finds out Rex is staying this next season.

Rob has the same qualities. His players LOVE to play for him. I think Rob should be a HC somewhere honestly. He has fire, and thats important.

I personally think Rob is a great coach and was PO'd when he got the can.

I like the guy. Like his fire. Not sure he has the demeanor to be a HC but we'll probably see how he does.

...and if he makes good, it will be another in the list of ex-Dallas assistant coaches that thrived outside of JerryWorld.

Don't count his chickens before they've hatched. I suspect Ryan will get hired as HC somewhere at some point. Whether or not he'll be successful there remains to be seen. His brother Rex still hasn't really proven himself in New York.

Professionalism is overrated. It just gives the media stuff to talk about. All that matters is winning. Winning cleans all faults. Losing magnifies them.

The main problems I noticed with Rob is his lack of organization and he lacked attention to details. On the positive side, he is the type of coach that players will give 110% effort for. Dallas hasn't had that type of HC in a very long time. I don't think Rob is that good of a X's and O's type of coach, but he could have a good run as a HC if surrounded by the Asst. coaches to make up for his shortcomings.
