Season may come down to beating the Giants

The next game after the bye is an absolute must win game, especially after losing to the hapless Saints. Seattle is going to be very difficult to beat at this point, even with them having their own woes.

If we can go 2-2 in the next 4 games, as long as we beat the Eagles and Giants, we're going to be okay.

We're a game behind New York. We play them and they also have the Patriots in the same time frame. Unfortunately for us even when we get Romo back, their schedule is much easier than ours. I'm confident that if we can go into the Miami game tied with New York, Romo won't let us down. He knows what is at stake, but behind the gun, I almost bet that the Giants go lossless down the stretch.

The Giants beating the 49ers while we lost to the Saints is a devastating loss for us. Honestly losing to Atlanta and to the Saints should have gotten some coaches fired. That 12 men on the field during a punt return certainly cost us the game.

Both Dez and Gregory need to come back for this game, and the defense needs to absolutely destroy Manning. Shut out, zero points allowed. Get turnovers for touchdown or set up field goals... doesn't matter.

If Philly can beat NYG, we can possibly get away with beating Philly and Tampa. We would be 3-1 in division vs 2-2 for NYG.

If NYG beats Philly, then yeah we probably want to win both of those. Of course if we do, 3-1 is actually a pretty good possibility which would be fantastic considering current circumstances.

If the Giants beat the Eagles and Cowboys the next 2 weeks it's probably over.

Odell Beckham Jr. and Ruben Randle may miss the game because of hamstring injuries.

I doubt they play. Eagles should blow them out.

Sorry about that Game 4, friend... I was looking forward to an all-Texas ALCS. Looking bad for the Rangers too :(

Rangers have been much better on the road this season. Hopefully that continues for Game 5 at least. Maybe a repeat of the Rays series from 2010.

Seasons aren't lost being two games back in October. Come on, guys. We've all seen this way too many times before to try to make it a race to the bottom. Stay within two games, get healthy, and then let's talk about what happens after Thanksgiving. The Giants have beaten the Sk*ns and the 49ers and the Bills. They are not world beaters.

If we played in a division with the Packers, we'd be in trouble. As it is, we just need to get healthy and play better. Plus, if we beat the Giants, we're right back on top of things, potentially. Let's look at it that way while we can.

I have a little confidence left just because we we're able to compete against the Falcons and Saints despite being depleted on offense and defense. That tells me we should be able to at least win a few games when we have a fully healthy defense and Dez back. A blowout loss to the Patriots was expected given the circumstances. It was just a very unlucky 3 weeks for us. I'm not excusing the losses, but I think we can win a few even without Romo. But we need to get some things figured out first. Like people have said, Weeden probably isn't the answer, and McFadden doesn't look like he'll revitalize his career in Dallas. I think Joe Randle has done a solid job and we might actually have a decent running game later in the season with Randle and Michael when Romo comes back and the O-line starts clicking. I just don't want to see the Giants run away with it early. If the season is lost before Romo returns, I'd rather us lose out and get a top pick instead of having Romo rally us to 8-8.

We must remember that the Gmen seem to always have a mid season swoon and lose games they should win

9-7 mean anything ? The season is not over by any means.....

I don't think the season's lost, but I think these division wins can come in handy later in the season. I'd be happy with just sweeping the Giants and Eagles even if we lose to the Seahawks and Bucs. I have a feeling the whole division will have a similar record and these tie-breakers will come in handy at the end of the season.

Just win you divisional games. That is quite literally all a team has to do. I don't care if the Giants beat us and the Eagles, we still get another game against the Eagles and what should be an interesting couple of games against the Skins. This thing is not by any stretch over in the next two weeks.

a loss to the Gnats doesnt end their season because the NFCE is horrible right now....8-8 or 7-9 could win this division

Lots of ifs and buts here.
I agree though, beat the giants and the saints loss is almost made up for and we're still in the thick of things.

The Gmen should have lost last night...they are as flawed as any team that looks like a contender.

Yeah, I don't get the rush to proclaim things over until they actually are over. I'm not entirely sure if this is a modern phenomenon of the Internet age or if fans have always been like this.

Im going svedka tonight to ease this pain

svedka-stemcell.jpg

I love that - of course I'm gonna be looking for my own real stem cells along with nano technology and gene therapy to rejuvenate me (it is coming) so I can go back to my youth of playing ball, drinking beer and chasing women - not necessarily in that order.
