Season may come down to beating the Giants

As talent-deprived and poorly coached as they were during the Campo years, the Cowboys still averaged almost one win every three games. I'm baffled that winning just two times during this Romo-less seven-game stretch should seem so daunting, especially considering how much more talented the overall team is now.

I'm not sure how much talent we have. We have some talented starters but the backups aren't that much and our starters have been hurt.

Start Cassel. Attack with spread offense and take our chances. If we get a lead, then we can pound. No more run run pass. If we go down, it should be on the attack and not trying to manage the game. If Dez plays, we can do it. If not, time for Beez, Witten and o line to earn their keep once again. I've had my mourning. I want me some Eli on the turf. The talent and injuries are what they are but we can still go hunting for the division after the bye. I'm not a pie in the sky guy but I guess I hope my team shares my starvation for taking it to the division and not waiting for the opposite. Let's go.

If the Giants beat the Eagles and Cowboys the next 2 weeks it's probably over.

Yes, cancel the season after that because there's no way a 4-2 Giants team could lose the East and not even make the playoffs. What's that? Oh, 2012 says remember me?

I don't think the season's lost, but I think these division wins can come in handy later in the season. I'd be happy with just sweeping the Giants and Eagles even if we lose to the Seahawks and Bucs. I have a feeling the whole division will have a similar record and these tie-breakers will come in handy at the end of the season.

It's the preferred path since it is division games, but that 2-0 start in the division at least gives us some leeway. Playing the Commanders twice in the final five games might actually help us considering that Romo will be back then. I'll be surprised if a 4-2 record in the division doesn't at least tie for the best.

Trying being an Astro and Cowboy fan in the last 24 hours. I don't drink but dang! ! What gives

I am a Cowboys/Royals fan. I was not having a good drive back home today until that 8th inning. Made my weekend not suck as much.

Unfortunately, that might be true... The Giants have a lot of winnable games left on their schedule, it's almost hard for me to imagine them not reaching 10 wins...Aside from the Patriots game, the Giants would probably favored right now in every other game remaining on their schedule.

Then again, you never know what the wild-card scenario might look like... For all we know, 9 wins might get us a WC, and the biggest games might end up being the Carolina and/or Seahawks games.

I agree
It's far from over
But the easiest road is beat the teams in your division

The div games are very important now, need to put losses on ny and eagles, if we can .
After seeing the NE game and that being after secret practices, I think due to inferior coaching that it is over.
The one good thing dallas now has is a good pass rush with hardy, and Ro, and Lawrence, so maybe that will deliver a win, but
With no offense that might not be enough.

Seasons aren't lost being two games back in October. Come on, guys. We've all seen this way too many times before to try to make it a race to the bottom. Stay within two games, get healthy, and then let's talk about what happens after Thanksgiving. The Giants have beaten the Sk*ns and the 49ers and the Bills. They are not world beaters.

If we played in a division with the Packers, we'd be in trouble. As it is, we just need to get healthy and play better. Plus, if we beat the Giants, we're right back on top of things, potentially. Let's look at it that way while we can.

Home Field Advantage is in serious jeopardy for everyone in this division. :(

Yeah, that's gone for everybody but the Giants, probably. Tough, with three undefeated teams still out there.
