Seattle tells Philly their offense is pretty basic

90's Cowboys ran a pretty basic offense. You can do that if you execute, an overly complicated one is like a bag of trick plays.

On Philly talk right now they are saying Sanchez is emotional and goes into a shell when things go wrong. Not good for a QB. That why it's imperative our D-line gets to him.

If you have DBs that can run/cover and DL that can apply QB pressure, any opposing offense can appear basic. Remember this same Seattle defense completely dominated Denver last year.

Seattle had the ball for 42 minutes yesterday. For Dallas to win, that's what the Cowboys will have to do next week.

Oregon kills everybody until they play a good defense in the SEC. Then they get trounced.

139 yards. LOL

As Bob Sturm tweeted, "Uptempo punting".

Stop with the lies. Oregon is 3-2 since 2002 against the SEC. Only one of the loses was a blowout.

Won v. Miss. St., 36-13, in 2002.
Won at Miss. St., 42-34, in 2003.
Won at Tennessee, 48-13, in 2010.
Lost v. Auburn, 22-19, in 2010 (BCS Title game).
Lost v. LSU, 40-27, in 2011.

Because of all of the misdirection and pace of the offense.

They lead the league in scoring I believe... Maybe it changed after yesterday.

Philly gets your defense running sideline to sideline and then they hammer you up the middle.

It's an awesome offense and it's player friendly as well.

Its not because the offense puts up so many points. They have like 10 tds on defense and special teams. There offense is bad in the redzone and not great on 3rd downs. They caught us at the best time.

We shut down their offense last year with a worse defense and their offense was better last year with Djax.

Yes. Very effective.

Even though the eagles didn't do much on offense
Seattle only squeaked out that win.

If Sanchez could have one or two better throws... That game goes down to the wire.

Not really
The eagles first DT was a result of a muffed punt by the Seahawks at their 10
They were able to do nothing after that

Seattle is a talented , disciplined and fast defense that also punched you in the mouth

We are none if those unfortunately

139 yards of offense at home is AWESOME!

Over 400 in Seattle is not apparently....

We run a basic offense now. Everyone knows we are coming to smash it down your throat...only philly really stopped it and I think it had more to do with 3 days rest than anything else.

It's the same offense high schools across the country are running, and it's nauseating to watch. If it takes over the NFL, I'm done.

Fortunately, all the quarterbacks raised in it are failing miserably in the NFL. RG3, Kaepernick, Cam Newton, Newton, Vince Young, Johnny Manziel (you'll see), EJ Manuel... Even Russell Wilson is just a bus driver and can't work from the pocket.

If you can stop the run with seven, you can kill this offense. Good defenses can. Geez, even the Cowboys held Philly to three points last year on the road.

The Eagles had 139 yards of offense yesterday, and two other times this season they failed to score an offensive touchdown.

It's only hard to stop because it's different, much like playing Air Force and their wishbone. With time to prepare, I expect a much different game this time.

LOL, Mississippi State in 2002-03? Tennessee? You mean the dregs of the SEC?

Against the top SEC teams, Kelly's offense ground to a halt, much like yesterday.

Yeah I agree - the game wasn't even as close as the score. You never got the feeling the Eagles were going to score enough to win and you never got the feeling they could stop Seattle when they needed to.

The NFL is about match-ups and the Eagles simply don't match up well with Seattle, much like we don't match up well with Philly. But the great thing about the NFL is you never know on a week to week bases.

So if I am reading this correctly, the difference between Seattles D and Dallas D is only Seattle has a better dline, linebackers, and secondary....sounds like we are really close

I think we have some comparable pieces. We definitely don't have an Earl thomas, Chancellor or Maxwell, though.

It's effective against bad defenses.

Against good defenses...not so much.

Against good defenses that are built like Seattle. The matchups are really quite interesting. Seattle's defense is perfectly built to stop high-octane offenses like the Broncos and the Eagles because all of their players are so mobile and effective in space. Conversely, they are vulnerable at the point of attack, against more physical, smash mouth offenses, like ours (or ironically, their own). So much of this comes down to style of play.

Thats why the Philly offense has been giving everyone fits. It may be simple... but it is pretty effective if you ask me.

They've had plenty of games where the offense struggled but they were bailed out by defense and special teams.

Very overrated offense.

Chip Kelly has said all along that what he didn't invent anything. The offense has to be pretty basic because of the speed of every snap and that they use a lot of package plays (plays designed where the QB decides whether to hand the ball off to the RB or play fake and throw it). With package plays, the WR's run basic pass routes and the O-Line run blocks. No time for motioning, check with me's, option routes, etc.

I think what has always scared me about Chip Kelly is that he has never thought of himself as a genius and tries to mention that he's not a genius. Usually those guys end up being the smartest coaches.

Philly is going to finish 10-6. Kelly keeps crying about the refs but he need not worry about that when he plays us he will have the refs in his corner. Sanchez is beginning his crash back down to reality.
