Our Next game vs. Seattle will be a test for this Cowboys team, much tougher than the Giant Test IMO.

Seattle is a very hot team right now.

This is the #1 Offense in the NFL and playing lights out.

We play them in their house.

Their Defense is ranked #13.

They have beat
Houston 0-5
St. Louis 2-3
Arizona 1-4
Atlanta 4-2
They scored 42,37.37.and 21 Points in these games, but against some very suspect defenses ranked #15,25,26,and 29. Really only one good win in there.

The good news is their 2 losses where against a couple of good defenses, the bad news is the losses both came on the road.

Loss to
Jacksonville 4-2
Washington 3-2
They only scored 14 and 17 points in these games.

For a 3rd week in a row our Defense will have to come up very huge.

I am not sure if Seattle is as good as they are looking, but IMO they are a better team than the Giants, and this one is on the Road.

We have to come to play, or it will be a long day.

Seattle running the ball really well right now. They are missing D Jackson, their cuurent wr dont scare me. i think our defense will match up fairly well, i think we can really limit their passing game, the challenge will be stopping alexander.

Im not sure how well our offense is going to play against their defense, that is the question i have. i think our defense will play well because i think we can man up with their wr, allowing us to focus on stopping the run and pressuring the qb, S Alexander only caught 7 balls this year so we dont have to worry to much about that. Their TE is good pass catcher.

Looks like they've beat bad teams (other than Atlanta) and lost to good defensive teams - Washington and Jax.

If we hand them 4 TO's, the game will be over by halftime. They will kill us.

Will JJ be back in time?

We have to play lights out. They're abit of ahead of us in maturity as a team, but they have some holes as well.

We have to play 60 minutes ... not 55.

If we control the LoS and keep Alexander from making the tough yards, then we'll have a chance ... otherwise, it'll be the Raiders game all over again.

If (I know "IF") we do not turn the ball over......JJ comes back.......we will win by 10.....otherwise......it will be a nail bitter again.

Seattle is w/o its starting WR's in Engrahmn and Jackson. They are running pretty good. Dont let that fool you tho. They have been playing some terrible defenses thus far this year. We need to play a heady game. The guys will be ready for Seattle. The Seattle offense is going to go mad w/ what Dallas delivers on D. I dont fear that OL Seattle has.

I attended the Seattle game last night, and they play well at home, and they seem to do well when the game is on national TV.

Houston is not a very good team so it is hard to access how their offense will do against us. The Houston defense did not present a very good pass rush so the Seattle QB had all day in the pocket to find receivers most of the time.

Dallas will have to play somewhere between the Philadelphia and the New York Giants game to beat Seattle at home.

I think we can run on this Seattle team. It would be good if JJones is ready. And we should be able to pass. I haven't seen the stats on the Seattle game, but I only recall Seattle sacking Carr one time.

The Seattle OL looked great at run protection, but they didn't do so well on their pass protection. It's the same as the last 2 weeks, IF we pressure Hasselback he will make mistakes. Just like McNabb and Manning. Their recieving corps is hurting, but their TE is playing well as is Joe Jurevicious. But I think we can take the passing game out of the equation. Our corners have a big advantage over their recievers. The question will be the run Defense, which seems to be our strong suit.

We need to play upto our potential then we'll be at least in contention in every game. Our problem is that we shoot ourselves in the foot.
No games can be taken for granted. Anybody can be beaten anytime. Play upto our potential instead of down to our opponent's level.

I agree with you guys... Seattle seems to be one of those teams that plays dramatically better at home, and when Hasselbeck gets on a roll he's almost unstoppable. I think our offense may have to bail us out this time.

what's the best way to shut down (well that's probably unlikely) or limit alexander?

1) We must stuff Alexander...he is a serious talent. I think we can do it...we have already shut down LT, Portis, and Tiki.

2) We can not allow Hasselbeck to get comfy...like Bledsoe if he is protected he can pick us apart. We need to keep the heat on him, and keep them off the field as much as possible, thus the reason I hope our running game breaks out.

This is one of those teams, even though the D is playing well, that no lead is safe. If we are up two scores in the 4th...I will still be nervous until the final tick is gone...they are explosive on O....

I really really hope JJ is back 100%....

I watched the Texans/Seahawks game last night. While the Hawks played well, the Texans were absolutely dreadful. David Carr had no protexction at all and their Oline whiffed on several occasions, leaving Carr to scramble or get beaten to a pulp. Houston looked like a tem that has already given up. I would expect that the Cowboys would play Seattle much tougher than most of the teams they've seen so far. While Seattle's Oline is one of their strengths, they have not seen the speed and interior strength that the Cowboys can provide. Atlanta was probably the best team they beat, but I would see Parcell's Cowboys being a lot more physical with the Hawk's interior, much like Washington was.

Something tells me that turnovers will be addressed this week.

Did you hear his PC after the game?

Basically, he said it was very rare that teams win games that had 4 turnovers, and 2 missed FG (one of which was blocked).

I cannot help but believe that the Cowboys blew a mjority of their wad against Philly and it almost came back to haunt them.

Let's hope that Seattle blew most of thiers against the Texans last night....We fix our turnovers and they are plying with to much confidence....it's ripe for the taking.

The best way to shut down Alexander and the running game...Is to start out fast outta the gate and get a big lead. This will force Seattle into a passing game, where we will eat them up !
