On paper it looks good, until the real game starts we won't know. My feeling is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Why are we forcing the issue with Diggs? Is this a vital mistake?I see Diggs is already on the roster on the team's website. If we can go with Diggs and Revel on the outside and Bland as the slot corner we'd be set. Carson can provide depth. The rest of the youngins can play special teams.
I don't know what to make of Diggs coming back and if he'll be a positive add back or detractor. He wasn't playing well earlier in the year looking slow reacting and slow running with the receiver. Hopefully it was because he was injured and can rebound, but I just don't have high expectations at this point. With Diggs potentially returning on Thursday night, if he is close to 100%, our D can possibly take another step forward.
With Diggs and Revel/Carson on the outside, Bland can come back to the slot where he plays his best ball, and Reddy can be shifted to a backup/Dime CB role.
If Flus continues to increase man coverage snaps, the blown assignments and big plays down the field would be mitigated.
This DL is putting teams behind the chains on early downs, and getting solid pressure on the passer.
IF Diggs is healthy and ready to contribute (BIG “if” for sure)— then this D may still be evolving and could be set to peak at the most critical point in the season.
I don’t think we’re forcing anything. Having Diggs reunited with his old college teammate in Q could actually work to our advantage. He was in a funk—both mentally and physically—and hopefully a month on IR helped him reset. When he’s healthy and in the right headspace, he’s our best corner. On paper it looks good, until the real game starts we won't know. My feeling is, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Pressure is there, next step is to create more defensive turnovers. With Diggs, Bland, all you need is a QB to rush some passes. With Diggs potentially returning on Thursday night, if he is close to 100%, our D can possibly take another step forward.

Headspace lol... Ok . Is he that fragile?I don’t think we’re forcing anything. Having Diggs reunited with his old college teammate in Q could actually work to our advantage. Pretty much, Diggs can only add to this team, and the upside is great with Diggs, Bland, and Revel. However, the coaches need to act swiftly if Diggs isn't meeting the standard. CB position seems stabilized for the first time this season.Hopefully the time off has let him rest and get right. If he comes back balling, then we can reposition Bland to the nickel
But if he comes back and struggles, then we just keep on with what we have been doing and move on in the offseason

What can I say? I am pumped about the DL after getting Quinnen, and Pickens has been awesomeHawk,
Your recent positive what if posts without the extreme homerism are a welcome breath of fresh air to this otherwise natural pessimist of the team.
Appreciate ya.
Yep, that pessimist in me keeps waiting for that Same Old Cowboys moment/play to occur but your encouraging posts have managed to help raise me up above my normal apathy. What can I say? I am pumped about the DL after getting Quinnen, and Pickens has been awesome
Beating Philly and KC in the span of 4 days is simply spectacular
That said, all they have done is give themselves the nearly impossible task of running the table and winning out— but I am pulling for them
Whatever happens, the future is brighter than it was 6 months ago, and I haven’t felt this positive about this franchise since before we got demolished by GB in Jan 2024
Here’s to hoping lol
He’s healthy, he wants to.That's if he wants to
I think Diggs will be closer to his former self because of the better line play. Are we getting Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde is really the question?
Current events point to him being a liability. Fingers crossed he's coming to ball.

That's my hope as well, but we'll see. He should be pretty well rested at this point.I think Diggs will be closer to his former self because of the better line play.
I was referring to bland playing nickel I should have said that sorryYep. But he has millions and millions of dollars on the line for his next deal to play his best ball.
If he doesn’t— we IR him and move on next year and he gets a steep reduction in pay and probably lands a “prove it” deal somewhere where a team is desperate and willing to give him a second chance
