Something like that. Been around since 1979, first as a newspaper and then moved to online only. The Onion began in 1988. Everyone knows The Onion is parody. I don't know if everyone knows that about the WWN.

It's a reliable news source. It's the paper that, during the First Gulf War, reported that a 101 year-old Adolf Hitler was on his way to Iraq to help Saddam Hussein. Then in about 2002 it reported that Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden had had a gay marriage and had adopted a shaved ape baby. If they hadn't reported these stories, I would never have known.
