What's your take on this? I see this as a strong possibility

Sure hope so, but don't know, I'm starting to think Bill will be back because I havent heard any rumors from the "insiders" about his replacement.

I think it's a stronger possibility than those who blurt out "NO WAY IN HELL!" may think.

I'm sure it's crossed Jerry and Jimmy's minds.

With that said, wouldn't this fall in the "gimic" category you referred to in another post? Seems more like an empty ploy to relive the glory years than anything else.

To me, if we're looking to replace Parcells, you turn to the Cowher or top, young assistant type.

I'd love to see Jimmy back on a sentimental level. I'd be glued to my seat and computer for days following the rumors if they started to heat up. But, in the end, I don't think it'd be a successful move.

Dig up Tom Landry, he's not doing anything, have Lombardi in as offensive coordinator, have they reanimated dead tissue yet? Well they need to get on that, it is the evolution of the sport.

Jerry wants Parcells back and you really can't fire a guy like Bill Parcells. However if Parcells quits, I think it's a strong possiblity. I know the fans want it. I know Jerry wants it. And I think coaches are always coaches deep down. A guy like Jimmy is too competitive. I think if there was an opportunity to come back, Jimmy might change his mind.

Do you not look at this as a "gimic" move, though? I'm honestly curious. To me, it reeks of ticket sales and reliving the glory days than it does trying to win football games.

I don't consider this in the gimic category because Jimmy will try to win the normal way by building this team up and not settling for "his guys" the way Parcells did. Parcells just allowed his ego to get the best of him and tried to win in an unorthodox fashion so he prove to everyone what a genius he was.

Jimmy has much more common sense and I think he will try to build the team the right way and won't do stupid things like starting VInny Testaverde as his QB.

Joe Gibbs is coaching the Commanders. Does that count?

Jimmy with this team, wow, that would be awesome. At this point I really don't care who we bring in, as long as its not Parcells.

But he is buried deep beneath a 62-7 defeat as his last game as a coach. Can he be revived? Can modern medicine cure ego? Stay tuned.

Be careful what you wish for, you might get Zimmer as head coach.
