Intelligent people know this. Unfortunately that is a steadily shrinking percentage of the population.

who cares if he is top 100 list. He has 1 playoff victory in his entire career..that is not enough. I am hopefully because Dallas has influx of talent and youth this year and its starting to look like Jason is running more focused camps. But until it happens..its all just conversation and history will show Romo was more hype than substance. He has time but it needs to happen soon.

Same with Ware, Witten and the others who have been here since then.

And many others on that list.
Amazing how Romo is actually called "overhyped" in some circles.

I actually think the media is starting to change their tune on Romo and starting to give him a little praise. They have ran him into the ground for so long that everyone is agreeing with them and this isn't selling anymore. Now they are going to go the other direction in order to get a little controversy. Its what they do and people are stupid enough to believe and follow it.

Then why is Matt Ryan on the list with a worse playoff record?

Cam Newton and Matt Stafford have no playoff wins

I will say this much.
I can't ever recall the league having more decent QBs than now. There must be about 15-20 or so that are more than just solid starters. That assumes all four of the new starters from last year (Luck, Kap, RG3, Wilson) continue to play well. I think Tannehill has real potential as well.

I haven't watched the countdown is Ryan on it as of the last show? The list is about the top 100 players from "last" season.

I completely caught it. I was asking the question because some people actually think that way.

It is about the top 100 for 2013, but you know 2012 weighs heavily in the voting.

There are supposedly still 8 QBs left.
We know Rodgers, Brees, Manning, and Brady will be 4 of them.
We also know that two more rookies get in...that would be Luck and RG3.

That leaves Ryan, Flacco, Romo and maybe Cutler as the most likely ones remaining. Rivers and Vick stunk last year so they have to be out.

Ryan will for sure be one of them, imo. So it comes down to Flacco and Romo. The NFL network analysts all said they thought Romo should be in the top 100 but all but one (guest host Shady McCoy) thought Romo would be left out.

BTW, the voting took place before the Super Bowl...not sure how far before though.

I think Flacco gets in even though Romo's regular season was better. I'm thinking his team's past playoff wins and the fact that maybe this voting happened during the playoffs, would be enough to push him ahead. But having Flacco in the top 40 players seems really high to me....Romo too for that matter given his crappy start to last year.

Shady should so be a Cowboy right now. Thanks for not sticking to your board, Dallas!

This QB rating stuff is so damn silly it's pathetic.

I would love to see all these QB's play behind the line that Romo had to play with. And, I would love to see Romo play behind a line that can protect him like other QB's have.

Does anyone think Flacco wins a SB with Romo's team last year? How about RG2-1/2? How about Cutler? Hell, how about Brady?

You can take the most advanced Master Carpenter in the world against a journey man Carpenter, but the Master has to use balsa wood while the journey man Carpenter uses real wood and each has to build a house that lasts.

Guess who wins that battle?
