He was just on...

Basically said the week before the Rams game was a circus. From Pac being suspended, to the Roy W trade, to the Romo injury...and it was topped off with a loss to the Rams, for God's sake (he quickly apologized to Marshall, tho.)

Said as far as Wade taking over the defense. Said there were some communication problems between the players and Brian Stewart due to Brian is somewhat volatile. Said Wade built this defense, so he has to step in.

That was pretty much the meat of it.

In short, Jerry told Wade that his job was on the line if this kept up. Wade, knowing that Stewart is lost, took over the defense in an attempt to save his own job.

Why beat around the bush?

I hope the guys on D put out a better effort today for Wade than they did last week, or it is going to be another long day.

Watching Stewart - and correct me if I am wrong - but he appears to be very immature to be running this defense. He needs to learn that you don;t earn respect by aimlessly screaming and yelling. You are just going to alienate the players.

Steve Wyche said T.O. said that the Cowboys gameplan for this week meant that the skill players were to be more involved than last week. Not sure what all that means, but fingers crossed.

I get so tired how the players may allow themselves to get distracted. They don't allow themselves to get themselves distracted getting paid on time.

This actually makes sense. During TC and preseason, James commented a few times that one of the major difficulties of transitioning from the helmet mic from the hand signals was communication.


Stewart tends to talk too animatedly and/or too fast (before the mic is open) and so the play called is missed. Calming Stewart down was one of the challenges of the helmet mic, per James.
