Not only did he get a sack but I saw him get back to pressure or hit the QB a few times in limited plays.

Pretty good for a guy that we just picked up after Denver cut him. He is a terrific athlete and you could tell when he was out there that he just looked quicker than the other reserves out there. Physically, the guy is really good but he's from a tiny school. For just being here a week, he picked things up quickly.

If they can get him up to speed, he might slip onto the 53. I know they liked him as an UDFA but he went to Denver... so they've liked him for a while and didn't hesitate to sign him when Denver let him go.

He did really show up this game. Saw his number a few times around the ball
Yeah, he was close to having a really, really good day statistic wise. He just missed a couple more sacks.

He looked like he was on another level athletically speaking, from those in the game later on.

Some of those pressures would have been sacks had there been decent DT play when he was in the game.

Big fan of Jenkins, gotta love players that just produce, no matter the level.

Really wasn't a case of Russell playing poorly. He did ok. It was just Jenkins jumping off the screen a little bit with a nice day.

Totally agree on Jenkins, he looks like a guy that could spend a year on the PS, add 20 pounds in the weight room and be a very good backup in 2017.

Russell will be fine, he did miss one tackle in the backfield but he had to come all the way from the right side to get in position. I think Russell will be a good backup LDE, it isn't really fair to evaluate him as a starting RDE at this point.

Yeah, I thought that too. He got back there but because the other guys weren't, the QB was able to slide away a little bit... plus they were getting rid of the ball awfully quick.

He looked better than Russell . It's scary what we have at DE right now.

soooooo after D Law and Randy's suspension I hope you were not expecting these rookies/ 2 year players to start being d ware did u? cause i don't and any production we get from them is a plus......

so we really have no choice at this point we got 4 games to ride out with and a possible 10 gamer in Gregory it is what it is...

Law looking good right now in camp so i think he can pick it up in a couple games we'll be ight got no choice.. Sean Lee gonna clean up a lot of mess up front anyway

Im actually looking fwd to how this Defense will develop through the year and hopefully get better and better every week I'm cool with that

Robinson owned Russell 1v1 and then his backup handled him. They ran weakside repeatedly with a high degree of success. At one point the backup turned him and then finished by throwing him to the ground. He got a rush or two against the backup but the throws were quick and its not like he beat him outright.

Compare that with Irvin who the RT struggled to get his hands on and it was a stark contrast.

Russell looked overmatched at times.

He seems to be a favorite of many but I just don't see it. He looks like a JAG.

Hopefully things look better Friday for him.

Jenkins played as well as you could have asked for a guy with his level of experience.

He was a beast until they started doubling him. A very nice showing. They had to double him to keep out of the backfield.

It's scary what we have at DE right now.

We played last night without the starters.

Randy Gregory is in rehab, his back-up, Benson Mayowa is still on PUP rehabbing from off-season knee surgery, and DeMarcus Lawrence sat out for precautionary reasons as he eases into things following off-season back surgery.

UT Tyrone Crawford sat out, too (shoulder sx).

NT Cedric Thornton was the only starter who actually played last night.

I've no idea if we will ever see Gregory again or if that ship was sailed into the night, but the others should all start seeing snaps this Friday barring any setbacks.

You guys are nuts if you think a DT can flash like that and not get picked up before making a practice squad.
