Getting shoulder surgery tomorrow. Could be a 4-6 month healing process.

Few folks wanted to trade down and target him. I think a few teams had him pegged as needing this done, yet, he stood firm that it was not needed.

The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that Lawson, the 19th overall pick in last month's draft, will undergo surgery on his right shoulder on Tuesday. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Lawson will likely begin training camp on the physically unable to perform list. It's possible he will remain with that designation to start the regular season, a move that could cost him nearly half his rookie year.

A guy some of us wanted, especially as a trade down target.

Stinks for him. Rookies getting a serious injury even before training camp is a major bummer and almost always a lost season for the player.

I thought his shoulder was supposedly medically cleared a few weeks before the draft? Guess not...

This is more of an example how I view the Jaylon Smith pick. I'm guilty as one of those that wanted Shaq Lawson, but as our second pick..whether that be a trade up senario or if he somehow slid. If Dallas had picked Shaq like I wanted, I would have had to "wait and see" how good the player really is similar to what we're going to do with Jaylon. The difference is, Jaylon is a far better talent. Sorry, if this kinda makes me feel better.

I wanted him too in a trade down so you're not alone. Alexander told me about the shoulder red flag but was "cleared" etc. If I had known that, I would have taken Joseph and the ammo for next year (QB). Support Zeke now of course, but yeah guessed wrong there too:D

They use I think the 19th overall pick on him? We use an early 2nd rounder for Smith who is a higher prospect and people complaining why we didn't take Lawson because we need people now. Well there you go this guy is on a injury timeline as smith not only did we get a better prospect, high character guy, but someone in the early 2nd round vs 19th overall.

Glad Dallas didn't grab him. He has a bum shoulder that he aggravated first day of mini camp. Done for possibly half the season.

I would've been okay with Dodd at the top of the 2nd.

I don't think Marinelli was as keen on him as fans. He was wanting a RE prospect in Ogbah and settled for another RE prospect in Tapper.

Yeah, I was fine not getting Dodd.
Getting Tapper and Jaylon Smith may end up better than Ogbah and whatever we would've gotten in the 4th anyway. Hoping so.
