I've watched a total of ONE Pats game this year. And that's only cuz they played the real AMERICA'S TEAM. I really don't care if they go undefeated. As long as they lose the last game they play.

I just think it is funny how everyone wants the lable of Americas Team. It does not bother me because in the end when you say Americas Team people know who you are talking about.

New England is not America's team, it is a New England team. That is all that is important. THE only thing.

Our team, New England. I could care less what someone in Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio, Illinois, or anywhere else thinks. In fact, honestly, I do not want them as fans. Bandwagon, sorry go away.

It is a New England team. Period.

Fans that will be there when we are not so good.

Kind of like -- well, I can think of lots of teams. Denver. Kansas City. Washington. New York. Cleveland. Who am I forgetting.

New England Patriots = New England team. No one gives a rats posterior about anything else.

They routinely had some of the mid to lower rated Super Bowls in all of their 3 runs. And they cheat. And no body likes their coach.

They're chasing history. Of course they're going to be a headline team that everyone knows about. But America's Team? My god you've got to be kidding me. It's truly laughable.

Hey I live in Iowa and you know what... that was well put, and true.

There's no reason for any of us here in Iowa to be a fan of you guys. If I saw Patriot fans back during Belichicks first year that'd be one thing. Anyone who thought they were going to bust off a 3 in 4 year span is lying. They had an inconsistent Bledsoe, a trouble some terry Glenn, replaced Ben Coates w/ our Eric Bjornson, and below average defense. If I saw Pats fans around Iowa then, that'd be one thing.

But the thing with Cowboys fans, is alot of it is tradition. Our parents were fans, or maybe because of the "Cowboy" name. That and winning helps alot. Other teams just dont have the whole package like that.

Thanks and great post. And no knock on Iowa. Just that it is a mid-western state with no professional football team. And I know that college football rules there. You have had some pretty good teams.

In New England we never had a professional team either (except stuff that doesn't count) until the Pats came along. And at that time the Red Sox owned the area. Even today, the Sox are worshiped in New England. And for many, many years we were bums and a joke.

That has changed. Even though I am not a native of New England, one thing I do know about New Englanders, they don't care about being called America's team.

Cowboys, it is yours. No one cares in New England.
