Why, oh why is this important???

New England is not America's team, it is a New England team. That is all that is important. THE only thing.

Our team, New England. I could care less what someone in Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio, Illinois, or anywhere else thinks. In fact, honestly, I do not want them as fans. Bandwagon, sorry go away.

It is a New England team. Period.

Fans that will be there when we are not so good.

Kind of like -- well, I can think of lots of teams. Denver. Kansas City. Washington. New York. Cleveland. Who am I forgetting.

New England Patriots = New England team. No one gives a rats posterior about anything else.

Actually, I would Argue that they are Boston's Team. Even their name shows arogance.

Well, this goes to show you that you know nothing about New England.

First off, I think the figure is somewhere around 54% of the season ticket fan base is south of Foxboro. Which by the way is 30 miles south of Boston. It is too far to drive from Vermont, New Hampshire or Maine, but the fan base is there and I am sure some of the folks take the drive. So it is basically Massachusetts and Rhode Island fans that comprise the season ticket holders. But the fan base is New England. I spent the summer in New Hampshire and I assure you the fan base is there.

And because there is so much in such a small area, for people to drive 50 miles is a big deal in New England. In Rhode Island people think driving 20 miles is a big deal. Actually 10 miles. To go to NYC --3 hours, god forbid.

I have lived in Dallas and driving 25 miles, well people don't think about it -- even going to work.

Different place, different mind set.

But trust me, the Patriots ARE a New England team.

That the "Cheats" are America's Team now because people are watching them for a perfect 16-0 season.

Umm...I don't recall anyone calling the Colts America's team on their pursuit of perfection until they lost.

Only thing "American Team" about that team is the name "Patriots".....
