Yikes these two have been terrible in PFF eyes.

Shemar James Overall Grade is 35.5 which is the 2nd worst linebacker in the league. 82 our of 83 linebackers. YUCK. He is still young and was a late round draft pick so lets hope he can turn it around.

Kenneth Murray Overall Grade is 40, which is 78th our of 83 qualifying linebackers.

As much as we called Jack Sanborn slow and etc, he is/was our best linebacker. He had an overall grade of 56.3 and was rated 56th our of 83 linebackers.

Yes none of them have been anything near good. Is it the coaching? Our linebacker play has been laughable, well technically our whole defensive play has been laughable but the linebacker play has been super duper bad.
 
Murray has no upside to offer.

James does. Part of his issues coming out of the draft was that he was very young and had a lot to learn. However he had very good athletic ability and had flashes. I think he can turn into something.

He has showed flashes with the Cowboys as well. He just needs to learn. I have a feeling they did not want him playing much his first year but the injuries and bad play from some of the LBs forced them to start him earlier than they wanted and before he was ready.

I think he has an upside for this team, even if it winds up being a rotational player.

It's all about perspective .. if the Cowboys release Murray, the overall team improves, so he does provide the potential for upside ... :D

Sanborn was by far our worst linebacker. Pff doesn’t always get it right.

Murray at least will make a play or two a game. Hes terrible and this is what he is. I don’t know how he made it this far but he’s terrible. Sanborn I knew didn’t have the physical traits but people bragged about his mental and he’s lost too when he was healthy.

Shemar at least has the excuse of being a rookie and still not looking as bad as those two. And Liufau I have no idea why he can’t get on the field.

It was a kick the tires move. I’ve seen worse than him. They are on this team. Our linebackers suck lol.

If you could put Sanborn's brain in Murrays body you would have a good LB.

I just think Murray is not a mic LB and is probably better on the outside on the strong side. He's not that instinctive LB that can fly all around. Logan also looks like a strong side LB, while Overshown more on the weak side. The Cowboys still need a true middle LB.

Don't think so.

The run D gave up about 3.8 ypc when he was on the field. Then 6.5 when he was off. This may have improved slightly after the AZ game, but I'm not sure.

The pass D was terrible regardless of the LBs, but the run D wasn't just open gates earlier in the season like it has been as of late.
 
James is dreadful. A good athlete, and that's where the positives end. No nose for the ball whatsoever. Wouldn't be close to seeing the field on pretty much any other team.

Murray shouldn't be on the roster.

Murray has always been this bad. Sanborn lacks athleticism. James is a rook. At least he might be good at some point!!!!

totally agree. This team is scared to death to cut guys. Both of these 2 should be gone.

Yeah word is they were really looking for a good MLB to trade for. Now they did get Logan Wilson but I do not think he is the long term solution..
