Sherman calls out Pickens

I hate to criticize players for effort but I do think Pickens was not his best last night. He seemed to be loafing at times and he made one stupid penalty on that face mask. The OPI they called on him was nonsense. He was running a route and he has a right to do that. At no time did it look like he was blocking or trying to block the Detroit defender. It looked to me like he was trying to slip in between two defenders which is legal. The announcers saw it the same way. But of course this was Hoculi's crew and he always screws the Cowboys. They had a couple of calls reversed by the booth or it would have been worse for Dallas. But the refs were not the reason Dallas lost. They played poorly and Detroit was clearly more fired up for the game.
he didn't have Ceedee out there his #2 to take the pressure off him

I bet Pickens was playing with a concussion also. Early in the game lions lost a safety tackling Pickens. Pickens went down face and shoulder first. Was not the same player. Lamb is hurt now also.

You think he can be replaced in FA or the draft? No. The Cowboys finally have a legit 1-2 punch at WR and some think we should let Pickens go. Makes NO sense.
Doesn't matter what any of us think, he can get tagged benefits us, he can walk (which he may want to test his value in free agency) which benefits him. Right now, I wouldn't want anything less on the market than 35

The real Pickens showed up last night. He turns into a malcontent if he isnt the focus of the offense. Detroit doubled him when Ceedee went down and he pretty much quit out there. Dak had to turn to Flournoy due to Pickens allowing Detroit to take him out of the game.

Pickens has been all world this season and I would just normally say it was just a bad game and every player can have one. CeeDee has had a couple but he has bounced back.

However....There is a difference between having a bad game, ball just not bouncing your way, missing a catch or something along those lines.

His issue was effort. I think it is the first time he has looked like he was out of it early.

Maybe he was thrown off by CeeDee's injury, but I do not think so.

Maybe he is fighting through some injury right now.

But it did seem like an effort issue.

Kind of curious if they went into that game with a game plan that Pickens was basically going to be a decoy most of the game. To put the emphasis on Ceedee, Fergy and the running game. No clue if there is anything to that, just wonder.

I wonder that because once CeeDee was out, Flournoy had a heck of a game and got 100+ yards and a TD. CeeDee prior to his injury had around 120 yards.

So was GP half stepping it some because of a game plan that made him a decoy.

Do not know. But I think it was clear to most that he was not on point last night and that was by far his worst game of the season with only 37 yards.

So I hope he was playing through an injury. Or some other reason.
I do not want to see the Steelers version of GP to show up after doing so well this season to this point.

This coming from a long time fan starting from the 80s. This gutless team can't win on the road like the 90's teams could. I knew they'd lose. Unfortunately for you, you'll never see a super bowl team. Jerry needs to be 6 feet under until this can happen. Jimmy Johnson won those super bowls, not Jerry. Glad I've seen 3 super bowl wins.
Just curious. How many threads is this longtime fan going to post the same thing in?

Last night we got the version of Pickens that I am afraid we will see all too often if he gets the bag.

He's an idiot. Theres a reason Flounoy was open, the tripled Pickens once Lamb went out and Lamb was getting 1v1 all game too
Over reactions. Lamb two weeks ago. Now this. The volatility of fans is comical at times. Too high after wins and too low after losses. With Lamb out they sure as heck wasn't gonna let Pickens beat them. I wondered in the hours before the game what would conspire to cause a bad night. Lamb's concussion was it. That said, given Flournoy's night (9 of 12 for 112 yds) I can't say that they missed Lamb in a big way...or maybe they did. Regardless, this defense is just not playoff caliber. That's clear. Unless the offense starts fast (which it doesn't do) and distances a team, it's going to be a tough road to hoe. Turnovers, penalties, injuries, bad tackling, abysmal special teams play. Hard to overcome on the road in a very hostile environment featuring a desperate team.

He looked injured and in pain to me. Had such a magical year that I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Whole team stunk it up. Ferguson played worse imo.

Either that or he was pouting for some reason

I’m not gonna do that. People have waited all year to say this about him. He had a bad game.
The Board and media been waiting all year.......he should get no more criticism than Cee Dee has gotten. People need to stop.

He was loafing around before Cd went out

that is my biggest fear of signing him. He has an insane amount of talent (has since college at Georgia), but he can be a total head case, too.

anyone giving Richard Sherman a click deserves to hear his idiot take. There are former players who have something to say and then there are players who bought Steven A Smith’s $299.99 video guide “How to say shockingly stupid things and get into sports content creation”

And Shan is a hack as well.
He's a future HOF cornerback that is evaluating a WR. The truth hurts for a reason...
