If there was no CAP, indeed. When we landed Haley, we could swing it cuz there was no CAP. Sherm just makes too much, and we would be much better spending that kind of dough on a "War Daddy" if one becomes available in the next year or two.
Still, Sherm would be awesome on this team.

There is probably a very good reason for that. Lynch still carries a lot of weight with many players on that team.
I can only imagine if they played hardball with him, they would have people running around with "Free Beastmode" signs.

I think he tried that (as well as the Seahawks org) during the FA period, no one bit, tho.

When the talks began, I was admittedly interested. But after reading that there is absolutely no wait I would that brand of drama on the Cowboys. As crazy as it is to say about a Pro Bowler such as him, I'm not so sure he is RKG material, though, I certainly could be wrong.

Overated? LOL He is getting older, but the guy is great. So is Carr a product of the system too? My god Sherman would be head and shoulders above anyone we have here. That being said, I wouldnt trade for him or pay him his big salary.

Even if Sherman were truly being shopped, I don't see them going after him. The price will be high and they just drafted 3 corners.
It would be entertaining though. He hits the market in earnest, Dallas does nothing and then the idea is that he was overrated and a product of the system anyway.

I think Sherman puts this team over the top. Seriously, we need to find a way to get him on this roster. Yes he's getting paid a lot but I believe he has 2 years remaining on the deal so that isn't bad at all. Have him for this and next year. I'd give them a 3rd rounder and not look back.
