Even if Sherman were truly being shopped, I don't see them going after him. The price will be high and they just drafted 3 corners.

It would be entertaining though. He hits the market in earnest, Dallas does nothing and then the idea is that he was overrated and a product of the system anyway.
Price aside, doesn't Seattle run a zone defense? If so, perfect fix.

Too 5 CBs: Sherman, AB, Lewis, Awuzie, O-Scan.

I could role with that. :D

That defense, and Lynch, don't like Wilson very much. And they don't like that Carroll supports him the way he does. I think Sherman's right that their window for winning championships is closed.

Nice to infer that he thinks the Cowboys' window is wide open, though. He must not have heard that the HC has troubled with clock management.

why is that? genuinely curious

I'm surmising from the impressions I get, but as Trouty mentioned above, Lynch seemed to be pretty bent that they didn't run that ball in and win the Superbowl and threw the pick, instead. There also was rumors of blowback from Wilson's big contract, since that team was built on defense and has some outspoken players like Bennett and Sherman. Especially when Bennett was looking to get paid.

There's the 'You ****** suck!' comment Sherman reportedly made to Wilson after picking him in practice a few years back. And then there were the rumors that some on the team didn't like him because he wasn't 'black enough.' That stuff was squashed pretty hard when it happened, and it's been a few years, but it still doesn't seem to me like Wilson is the most popular guy on both sides of that team. The offensive skill guys and the coaches love him, though. I'm not knocking him as a player, either.

He is now when he is not on the team, nor does it appear he will ever be acquired.

But if he was, he suddenly would be the single missing puzzle piece and people around here would not dare say he was overrated or a product of the system. Those concerns would all magically go away, and even quicker if he was picked up at the "right price".
But we run a pretty similar system...

29 and expensive.....but you just draft 2 quality prospects and you wont find a better CB for them to emulate. The guy goes 100% anytime the pads are one. Id carry his price for a few year because it would make Awuzie and Lewis that much bettee

Even if he was cheap, it simply is not feasible.

Sherman would get in the way of the talent we already have in Nolan Carroll.

Yeah, don't want to hold back Carroll's development. He should get it any decade now.

But seriously, Sherman would simplify gameplanning for Marinelli. I'm not sure he's truly elite anymore, but he's better than anybody here.

Give me a smart corner that's always available over an elite one thats always injured (ala revis)

I don't like his personality at all, but he's a good player. If he could keep his mouth shut and just play, I would definitely like to bring him to Dallas.

Jerry hasn't went out and made that "splashy" transaction in a long time. He might feel the itch.

Given time, and nobody to to talk sense into them, people become Sneetches surprisingly quickly.

Yeah, I don't really know what's going on in SEA. I just know there's some bad juju and that it's been bubbling over there for years. It's a shame, because I really liked watching them play when they had it all together.
