"...Thus ended a bizarre evening for Shockey, who trudged around the field, cursing and complaining. When Manning failed to locate him on a deep pattern, Shockey screamed, "Throw me the [bleeping] ball!" and when he got back to the sideline he angrily flung his helmet to the ground, the first of two helmet-tosses by Shockey...Shockey after lunch did not want to elaborate, saying, "Everyone puts me under a microscope. It's unfortunate, but it's how [the media] is. I can't control it."

But wait! There's more: it seems Plaxico Burress wants Coughlin to change his coaching style:
"Receiver Plaxico Burress, who at times last season ran afoul of Coughlin, in less colorful language than Shockey admitted he'd like the head coach to lighten up."
"I feel me and him can be a little bit more player-coach related as far as just laughing and joking and things like that," Burress said. "He's one of those guys, he doesn't take jokes very well. We're working on that. Have a little more sense of humor, come out and have a little fun and enjoy it, not be so much of just a work, work, work atmosphere."
