Shockey curses out Manning

"...Thus ended a bizarre evening for Shockey, who trudged around the field, cursing and complaining. When Manning failed to locate him on a deep pattern, Shockey screamed, "Throw me the [bleeping] ball!" and when he got back to the sideline he angrily flung his helmet to the ground, the first of two helmet-tosses by Shockey...Shockey after lunch did not want to elaborate, saying, "Everyone puts me under a microscope. It's unfortunate, but it's how [the media] is. I can't control it."

But wait! There's more: it seems Plaxico Burress wants Coughlin to change his coaching style:

"Receiver Plaxico Burress, who at times last season ran afoul of Coughlin, in less colorful language than Shockey admitted he'd like the head coach to lighten up."

"I feel me and him can be a little bit more player-coach related as far as just laughing and joking and things like that," Burress said. "He's one of those guys, he doesn't take jokes very well. We're working on that. Have a little more sense of humor, come out and have a little fun and enjoy it, not be so much of just a work, work, work atmosphere."

This guy is worse than TO, Steve Smith, and Chad Johnson put together. At least they are gamechangers.

Well I don't know about that. I do loathe the guy though.

There is no better .gif in the world that that one.

As good as that one is my favorite will always be the one of Teague blasting Owens off the Star.

I saw that for the first time today. I gained a lot of respect for that guy- though I thought it was Roy Williams.

I saw that in real life - I was at the game. No Gif will ever beat seeing that, though no action or TD scored in a Cowboys jersey will ever make that day go away.

That was my first Boys game to ever attend.

Too bad it wasn't Roy, it's likely Owens would still be wondering what hit him.

While I'm not a downstater, obviously I'm from New York state and I see more than enough of the giants. This team is full of whiners and cry babys who are constantly complaining about Coughlin. For a disciplinary, this guy sure cant keep any of these guys from running off at the mouth all the time.

While I;m not predicting it, if Tiki Barber suddenly realizes he's over thirty and cant apraoch the numbers he put up last year, this team could implode, its got quite a number of candidates that could turn sour and go in the tank while leaving Eli without a solid, and positive veteran prescence to lean on.

Very good post. They've been an unhappy family since he arrived and wouldn't coddle them like the other guy (his name escapes me at the moment).

Yes him thank you. I remember the first training camp where Fassel was gone and they had to be on time - everyone reported it to the player's union.:laugh1:

Good memory Crown, thats exactly the type of crap you see time and time again from this crew, and its not just one guy. This team could tank it early, there opening schedule is brutal. No New Orleans "away" games this year.

Their team this year reminded me of the Cowboys in 2003 - overachievers. Their lines are pretty good, thank Coughlin for that, but as you go backward on their defense it gets veeeeeeeery suspect. Manning still has to go forward, and learn to play without the help of Barber. Not saying it isn't possible, but they could take a step back before they take one forward.
