OL has taken two steps back with Green and Collins. These moves take time to gel-- but they are hurting the overall performance of the unit at this point. I'm hoping they get better and have high hopes overall for La'El, but there were some serious whiffs last night lol.

The oline needs to get it going.

I think they are struggling to gel with the new guys at OG and OT.

I think it is hurting the other Olinemen as well.

I think I seen T.Smith beat more these last couple of games than I have for the last few seasons combined....same with Beard.

I just wonder if Collins as the foot quickness needed to play tackle.

Heck, there were times where his foot quickness looked border-line in pass protection at guard.

I'm sure he will get a little faster as he gains experience and confidence, however, I am a bit discouraged as to what I've seen of him at RT so far.

He's been a mixed bag. To be sure, though, that RT position isn't as easy to play as people think it is.

I'm wondering if there's maybe an issue with Frederick here early. Either health, or that he's not entirely comfortable with Green next to him or something. It seems like we're getting physically beat to combo blocks in the interior for some reason, and I'm not sure why. I can't remember getting this much penetration between the OGs other than with the Giants and MIN games last season.

And then the TEs (both Hanna and Witten) seem to be struggling to get to their edge blocks. The whole offensive protection just looks off for some reason, and we're getting beat in the backfield too often as a result.

What worries me the most is 3rd down efficiency and Time of Possession. IMO the biggest 2 things that got us to 13-3 last year

The ones I saw having issues were 77 and 72. Morso than 79 and 71.

IMO-- Collins looks like the athletic ability is there, but the technique is lacking. There were some stretch runs last night where he just wasn't up to the task. Then some plays-- he absolutely owned his guy. Right now-- he's just inconsistent but he has a very high ceiling.

Green though-- man I just don't see it honestly. I like him at tackle much better than at LG. I just don't see the aggressiveness and power from him that the position requires. Tyron and FredBeard look off a bit as well and I wonder if they are having to think too much about covering for Green as he adjusts to a new position.

Hopefully more reps solve the issues-- but both guys are off to a rocky start.

They looked off too-- the sack that 77 gave up in particular was shocking. But-- IMO, I saw Green whiff on some pulls and traps and Collins was inconsistent in both run blocking and pass protection. At times he looked good, then he'd be shoved back into Zeke and kill a run.

Dallas is lucky that was the Cardinals.

70 percent of this league would have beaten the Cowboys last night.
Eh. That’s pretty much a guess. Stats don’t always tell the truth. We out grinded the Cards by 2 possessions. 2-1 against a supposedly better coach, better defense, and a place that has had our number of late. Im okay with the outcome.

Coaching, adjustments, and effort helped paved the way.

Zeke's extra weight wouldn't bother me if he still had his quickness. But he doesn't. He looks like a mix between Brandon Jacobs and William Perry out there (and not in a good way). Absolutely no burst.

Those runs in the open field would have went for way more yards last year. He must be eating really terribly to not be slimming down nearly a month into the season.

That, along with the offensive line not being cohesive, is what's worrying me the most.
