Should Drew have thrown a Hail Mary?

At the end of regulation, with the score tied, things were eerily similar to the Seattle game. However, my dad kept saying Drew should have thrown the ball up because there was some chance for a game winning TD, and it would have been nearly impossible for Denver (if they intercepted it) to run it all the way back.

However, that was my theory at the end of the Seattle game but everyone else said Drew should never have thrown a pass in that situation. What are your thoughts?

On the last play it was frustrating that he just held on to the ball. Low risk/high payoff.

Did anyone get a look at what was going on upfield? My feeling is he was looking for a sideline out in FG range that just wasn't there.

It's one thing "bothering" to throw a ball out to the sideline for a relatively minimal gain in the circumstance of the Seattle gaem and another to just heave it up under the circumstances yesterday. Theres no question he shoulda threw it as far as he could.

Especially since he was "able" to because no one was in his face. There was no justification for *not* doing it. The only way you could argue he shouldnt have would be if that was the play call come hell or high water and he was about to get hit as he released it... oweing to a 20 yard duck or something. Then you could say the dumb*** shoulda just took the sack, threw into the first row sideline seats, or whatever.

Course if no receivers even went anywhere near the endzone, then that would explain not bothering to throw it that far.

Parcells never tries hard enough to take a shot. He's too certain it could be picked and returned. I don't agree with him when he plays to run the clock out. Never stop trying.

I think they should have. I think it would have been a 70 yard throw to the endzine and Drew is one of the few QBs who can throw it that far.
