Should Isaiah Crowell be suspended (for wanting to kill cops)?

Hmmmm

The young man posted something in the heat of the moment that was offensive and stupid.

He is not a star so his irrational opinion really causes no added danger to police officers.

Many minorities have felt almost uncontrollable anger and helplessness about these unfair and dangerous situations they live in for a long time.

Does not make him a racist that would kill "white" cops if he had a chance.

I am letting this go and hope the young man learned from this mistake.

You know, sometimes you have to just accept an apology and move on. There's no way to know how sincere he is, but $32k goes a long way to help out the cause. At some point, the lapse in judgement just isn't that important.
By the way, I didn't mean that the actual money helping out the families of fallen police officers is stupid, just the idea that all is forgotten now about what he said.

What he did was awful. But I hate the mob approach about demanding an apology, and then tear apart the apology. He may regret his lapse in judgment, but does anyone believe he doesn't feel the same anymore? Maybe he has perspective now, maybe he doesn't. No one believes that Riley Cooper magically has changed a lifetime of behavior due to few days of classes. He "apologized" and that was unfairly torn apart too.

This notion that it's all good now because Crowell donated some money is stupid. His photo was disturbing and he deserves all the public shame he gets and then some. His official punishment by the league shouldn't be anymore than any other non criminal charges. I think it's up to the Browns to get Crowell the help he needs as well as dole out reasonable precedented punishment.

It was an idiotic thing to have done. Hard to say whether it was a momentary lapse, or if he still feels that way and just recognized too late that it wasn't worth the PR nightmare it (rightly) caused for him. Either way, though, the dude publicly apologized, at least, and put some skin in the game to make it right. It'll follow him the rest of his professional career, but there's really nothing more he can reasonably be expected to do at this point. It pretty much is what it's going to be, now.

Death by the 1st death penalty stoning. Or worse put him on a room with my gf and make him have to listen to her.

The NFL goes on and on about how players need to be role models. This idiot post a picture of the throat of a cop being slit to already emotional fans, some young, I would say yeah he needs to be suspended. Players get suspended nearly every other week for far less.

If he was a dallas cowboy he would have been suspended by the league or just let go by jerry jones.

She's a lucky woman to have you.

I doubt either of those things would happen if he was a Cowboy. Maybe more press but that would be it.

Because it happened in dallas where the officers where slain, there would be significantly more outrage from city politicians, the Dpd, and the dfw area residents. We can disagree, but i think the results would be different.

Hardy tweeted Brady had a hot wife and it was national news or the 'guns a blazin' part

I doubt the league would step in and suspend him, it would look extremely bad considering they did not suspend Riley Cooper for saying, "I'll fight every ****** in here." I do think he would eventually be released, but if Ezekiel Elliott tweeted/re-tweeted that picture, he would not be released, so there is a double standard based on where you play, and also how good you are.
