guys, with the broncos possibly releasing javon walker, and him maybe coming to the cowboys, should the cowboys also look at these players that atlanta released?

tlanta got in on the act releasing seven players including four-time Pro Bowl TE Alge Crumpler, DT Rod Coleman, LT Wayne Gandy and QB Byron Leftwich.

Even though we have witten, who is great, another top tight end would be great. Crumpler is big and fast! I remember him burning us 2 or 3 years ago for a 60 plus touchdown. Fasano hasn't shown much except he is injury prone. If Crumpler doesn't want much to play here, then why not?

WE have a better TE than Crumpler already in Witten and a decent backup in Fasano. I never liked Leftwich, he has always been overrated and still thinks he is a star...that would be a distraction. I'm not familiar enough with the other two guys but somehow I'm doubting that we need them.

The only one that kinda interests me is big fat Coleman, he might be able to play NT. Assuming Fergy gets released, otherwise nah...

You ever really watch Leftwich when he winds up his arm before a pass.... I would swear it takes two seconds just to complete the full revolution.... even touches his knuckles on the turf

Fasano reinjured his shoulder again this year. He missed a few games when curtis played. He had his shoulder repaired after the season. That is the second time. As far as getting Crumpler, I meant for the 2nd tightend offense and rest for Witten. What if Witten goes down? Crumpler would be a resonable replacement. I only feel we should get him if he does not want an arm and leg. He may take less to be on a good team.

Crumpler has been starter and will want to start and will want starter pay. You can't pay starter pay for all 54 players.

Our TE position is least of our worries right now, we have more pressing needs at other positions and will need all the cap money we have to get some players re-signed and signed.

As for Fasano, I'm not concerned with his injury, he'll be just fine. Many players gets injured, that's the way it goes in NFL.

Crumpler had NO KNEES left - he's done - damaged goods and J. Walker is right behind him. NO WAY.

Walker at league minimum ... but ONLY at league minimum. Anything beyond that is a waste of money on a guy who can't stay healthy.

Sarge is on the money. A healthy Crumpler would be worth a look but he's not healthy anymore.

Rod Coleman doesn't know how to remain healthy. Too many Jet Ski accidents. The rest of the players Atlanta released are street FA fodder.

David.
