Should we go back to the 4-3, Roy to LB

I have to admit that I wasn't a fan of making the switch to the 3-4... And I thought that the Cowboys didn't do as well as they should have... I wasn't too happy that they got rid of Glover for Ferguson either...

Maybe a move to switch back to the 4-3 would be a better fit... We are getting nothing from Spears and Canty at DE and just maybe we should move Ware to DE permantly... Use free agency and bring in the best DT available to help stop the run... Have Spears and Ware at DE...

Also I would move Roy Williams to LB permantly... He has proven over and over that he is not a great fit at Safety... I thought had the Cowboys had gone out and brought in Ty Law that we could have been a super bowl team... So I think the 1st thing this team has to do is draft a Safety and bring in the top Safety available thru free agency... Patrick Watkins is still a option... But we need a guy who has 3-5 years experience... I thought that we should have kept Fujita as well...

I wouldn't worry so much about LB... You move Roy to LB along with Bradie James, Carpenter and hopefully Burnett could step in and be a starter and we should be fine...

I would possibly address bringing in a starting CB and move Henry to Safety which would make the process that much easier... Infact that would be the best move... Just switch Henry, bring in another Safety and a starting CB along with a DT and our D should be fine... The move back to the 4-3 should help our run...

one option- get a pass rush.
2nd option-get a good fs
3rd option-get a pass rush.

Going back to the 4-3 is one thing but moving RW to a LB is a completely other thing.

One is legit, the other is not.

I think we have the players to play either scheme and be good at it. I see Roy as a Tweener,, between a LB and a SS. He is not schooled enough to play a true LB role and not good enough to play a true safety role. I think if we can find a way to use him close tot he LOS and have little deep coverage, the better we are. He is def not a cover 2 safety. One suggestion is use something like a 46 scheme, esp in the NFC East,, with only one offense a WC variety.
