Anybody been dragged to this yet?

I went and saw it today with my niece and nephew; what a clunker. It wasn't just me, the whole theater seemed very disenchanted with it and many of the laughs seemed a bit forced. The worst part is that I had to stay through the entire ten minutes of credits where seemingly everyone at Dreamworks was thanked.

It's a pure Hollywood moneymaker/marketing demon for sure and serves no purpose but to cash in. I really hope it remains a trilogy as it got off to a great start with the first, stumbled a bit with the second and effectively limped home this time.

My wife and kids went yesterday. I wasn't interested. Now I'm more glad than ever that I didn't go. I get very bored with sequels.

I saw it Thursday night. Mainly because my wife wanted to see the exclusive trailer for Transformers. Hated the movie. Even worse than the 2nd one. It's a shame the first one was pretty good.

Very boring. Found it hard to stay awake. No belly laughs found in this one, whereas in the first two there were quite a few. New additions: Timberlake's character was very annoying, Merlin was useless.

The only characters that got any decent laughs from the crowd were Pinocchio, Gingerbread, and the 3 pigs.

A star and a half maybe.

wow, I've been hearing a lot of bad reviews about this movie and not just from critics (who I generally don't listen to, since I believe normal people/fans are a lot better at judging how enjoyable experiance a certain movie is.) Everybody I've talked to has said it's not funny and just bad, which is a shame since I really liked the first two. Can't wait to see Transformers and the Simpsons Movie.

Was listening to the radio and one of the things the DJ pointed out is that it really wasn't for adults. Said while he sat there stone-faced, his 8-yr old was ROFL. And on the flip side, he said that the other shreks were more adult-leaning and his kids didn't enjoy them as much.

I've never seen any of them to compare. Just thought that was interesting.

Thanks for posting that. I plan to take my 6 yr old.

I could care less if I get anything from the movie. If the kid is having a good laugh then it's all worth it for this dad.
