Orton probablly is the best backup in the league today.

http://nfl.si.com/2013/07/23/ranking-the-nfls-12-best-backup-quarterbacks/2/?xid=nl_siextra

1. Kyle Orton, Dallas Cowboys:
Three teams have tried Orton as a starter, and three teams have reached the same conclusion — that he’s not a starter. That said, there is not a team in the league that would be in a more comfortable situation than Dallas if something happened to its starter. Orton, 30, has a few years left in him and a 35-34 career record proves that he’s at least an average QB in this league. That’s all you can ask for from a backup.

His generation Brad Johnson, Trent Green. I think the Cowboys would win 10 games w/ Orton as starter.

New voice alone would lead to a hot start out the gate!

Wow. So you basically think he is as good as Romo?

I think Romo's expiration date has passed.

I think what ever juice this team has, Romo won't be able to bring it out of them.

This team has mentally checked out on Romo, they need a new voice.

They don't believe in him

Hard to argue. I'd feel confident if we needed him for 2 or 3 games.

I'm hardly a Romo fan, but I disagree. Like him or not, there's no denying that he's our best chance, and I can't imagine that too many people on the team would agree with you.

Must be hard knowing that you could run an NFL team better than most of the GMs in the NFL. I mean, not one of them thinks that Orton is better than Romo like you do.

I think you should apply for a GM position. You did go undefeated in Madden that one time.

Do you have any facts to back up your GM claim?

That is nothing more than your opinion.

We just no for a fact that the worst GM in sports history believes that Romo is the better QB.

A team traded Brett Favre and Steve Young. The Rams let Kurt Werner walk.

The Vikings let Brad Johnson walk.Teams make mistakes when in comes to QBs.

Put the right talent around Orton(Witten, Dez, Hanna, Murray, The rookie, The Great Dwayne Harris), and I think he would be a probowl caliber player. He's not a scrub.

How many teams wanted to sign Orton as a starter when we signed him?

He lost his job to Tim Tebow man. Look through the Romo fog! hahaha

Orton for the Pro Bowl! This is gold.

Jerry overpaid him so much teams backed off.

Do you know Romo's record the last 22 games he started?

No...it isn't just my opinion. It happened to be the opinion of Bill Parcells, Sean Payton, Wade Phillips and is now the opinion of Jason Garret who happens to know the differences between a legit starter and a career backup QB first hand. All four coaches believed Romo was the best man for the job.

Of course you could end this tired and utterly useless debate by listing the names of GMs who are interested in Orton leading their team?

The new season is upon us. Stop the "Oh no, if only we had someone besides Tony Romo!" nonsense and get behind the team because Romo is going nowhere anytime soon.

And this is what happens when people listen to these morons that are the media, just comical. Don't blame the atrocious o-line, the bottom half defense, or the horrible running game, but lets blame our QB who is a top 10 QB in the NFL, that makes a lot of sense.

Eh, top ten is debatable, but I get where you're going.

When do we blame our atrocious first half offense?

The defense kept the Cowboys in every game last season.

The run game is pathetic.

BTW, I never listen to the media! Most of the local media are in the tank for Tony Romo.

I'm with you there, the offense was definitely questionable in the first half, but is that because of Romo? I felt like it had more to do with poor, conservative play calling.

Now I know you're a troll. The defense kept the team in games? Tony is responsible for a terrible run game? Go back to playing with your Barbie dolls. I'm sure you're in your comfort zone there.

You mean the Dallas Cowboys record? This isn't baseball.

3 years $10 mil is overpaying? That's not a starters salary. How is that overpaying if somebody wanted him to start?
