SI.com: Power Rankings (Cowboys 14 behind Denver 11)

11. Denver Broncos (3-0)
In my first draft of this week's rankings, I had the Broncos at No. 10, but I couldn't convince myself to leave them there. Everyone knows their 3-0 is cushy soft, and I didn't want to look back after the brutal eight-game stretch they have coming up and ask myself how I ever had them in my top 10? So No. 11 is as high as I'm willing to go, Denver. Beat Dallas at home this week and we'll talk.

14. Dallas Cowboys (2-1)
Why is it that Dallas seems to be the only NFL city where the team's former stars or coaches seem to come out of the woodwork to incessantly comment on its current stars? Tony Dorsett, Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Jimmy Johnson, Roger Staubach, they all have something to say about Tony Romo, good and bad. It's got to make it even tougher to play in Dallas with all those living legends around to critique you. If I'm Romo, I'm tempted to tell them to "analyze this."

Interesting thoughts on opinions of former cowboys.

Much more realistic then ESPN dropping Dallas 2 spots to 17 after a win.

I have no issue with these rankings at this point. They're probably fair as they can be given the sample of 3 games to go off of.

I must say I wouldn't be surprised if you do cry after the way you've acted so childish in our forum. btw, what's with the string tied visor? I suggest you get new headgear. That thing is just girly looking.

I usually don't care much about rankings even when it comes to college football but in this case, it does make sense. Both Tampa and Carolina are 0-3. At least Denver beat the Bengals (2-1) and yes a win is a win. If the Cowboys win their next game, there will be alot of (undeserved) hype about winning against an undefeated team. This s how stupid this ranking is.

So we drop one spot for winning our game and the Bills move up 2 spots after losing in incredibly crappy fashion. Do these guys actually get paid to do this.

I'm surprised that someone in the media is calling out our "former stars" for their perceived treatment of Romo. I just never thought I'd see something like that in print.

I'm not upset. That just shows how stupidly uninformed you are. Learn to take a joke.

we're better than SF or Cinci.

I like seeing Washington lower than Oakland and Detroit :lmao:

....about right. We have played like a middle of the pack team so far. However, it is funny how slim the margin is between a w and an l. If the Giants somehow had Seattle's kicker the night we played them we would be 3-0, and maybe everyone feels differently about us. Hopefully, that will change this week and next so we can get on a roll before our schedule gets more difficult.

I want to say this again.

We should have clobbered NY. I am still mad that we LET that win slip away.

Man that chaps my A.

That was OUR game.
