Blasphemy.I don't like Jason Witten.
Yep. They hit him high on that one which does not bother him. It is when they are going to tackle him below the waist that he tends to just do down. Considering his size relative to the DBs, they often go low to tackle him.Besides his no helmet run against the Eagles.
Yeah I can't have an opinion that differs from the sheep.Blasphemy.
By my count...9th in YAC yards for TEs last year. Does this scout consider the QBs who were trying to get him the ball failed miserably or that he was the focal point of defenses since we had no one else who scared them on the outside?
Blasphemy.
In fairness to Witt....he's never been a great YAC guy....I was going to wait until more posters embarrassed themselves before posting the YAC stats. Oh well
It's yards after 1st contact that would be interesting in this discussion. I intentionally didn't mention YAC because he often gets himself so open that the defender is not there to immediately tackle him.
As I said in the previous post, YAC (Yards After Catch) is completely different than yards after first contact.I was going to wait until more posters embarrassed themselves before posting the YAC stats. Oh well
These guys can claim all they want but Witten moves the chains. He knows how to get open and is tough as nails. Next time he drags a couple of defenders past the 1st down mark I will be sure to revisit this thread.
Fair enough. I'm not supporting that claim. I'm just pointing out why it probably appears that way to a casual observer. The supposition was that he falls after catching the ball.
