As stated on Sunday, I don't see the advantage of making a trade before the deadline after the loss to the Broncos. Wait.....fire Eberflus, hire a DC and work with him to bring the players that best fit his scheme. Most, if not all these players will still be available and maybe more. Hell, Myles Garrett may be one of them.....considering how ticked off he was Sunday.

The only names I would be interested in on that list are players unlikely to be traded.

Before the Cowboys consider making any trades for the defense (which I hope they don't) they need to decide what kind of defensive team they want to be and run.

Agreed. One thing to trade for one to build around for ~3 years like Simmons or Crosby or maybe Hendrickson(30) but the cost may not be worth it at the TDL.

Hendrickson becomes an UFA, unless tagged, but I'm sure he'll be dangled next offseason.

I could fix my defense maybe not for this season but for next season by trading for Riq, Simmons and Phillips…..then drafting linebackers can’t safeties. Oh and firing Eberflus lol.

I'm not bringing Clark back at that salary next year. Dude has been invisible out there.

Its obvious green bay was going to cut him after the season anyway. His cap hit jumps way up next year.

There’s ways around that salary just extend him and stretch it out. Or cut him and sign him for cheaper I don’t know I like him but I certainly wouldn’t say I don’t need Simmons because I have Clark.

Simmons is a 3T like Odighizuwa. If you make that deal you would try to move him.

Saying these players are available is misleading. We've already heard Las Vegas and Cincy have turned down offers. I suspect a number of other players are not available either.
