Some of us don't like it no matter who it is doing it, including the Cowboys. I'm glad Parcells kept it down against the Cards, among others. It's a show of respect for a fellow member of the coaching fraternity.

If nothing else, it's not an unselfish thing to not run up the score. It could be seen as a very selfish thing, because it makes you as a coach look better. Right now Belichick is creating some hard feelings that won't soon go away. He'll get paid back at some point.

Maybe Belichick hasn't had a bad year in so long, he's forgotten what it's like to get your butt kicked. All it would take is a Brady injury for him to quickly remember what it feels like.

I think there's a correlation between two groups, it's probably between the people who have a personal hatred (or strong dislike) towards the Patriots and the ones who are "outraged" at them running up the score. In general, Cowboy fans didn't seem to be this sensitive to "running up the score" when Jimmy was accused of doing it in the early 90's, or when Reggie White wanted to kick Switzer's butt for sending in Boniol to kick his 7th field goal of a game that was way out of reach. Quite the opposite. I don't have a problem with "running up the score" whether it's the Cowboys or Patriots.

For the record,I was speaking in a general sense. My thoughts have little to do with the Patriots and more to do with the general ethics of running up the score.Doesn't matter to me who is on either end of that score.I do like to give my fellow man a bit more credit then that though. Maybe I'm naive but I don't think the average fan is going to make a decision on a topic of ethical importance based on how much the like or dislike one specific team.
