Sick of blame on Dez

As well as the other 88s-- Hakeem Nicks and Demaryius Thomas dropped some easy ones. In fact, Thomas dropped one that was pretty identical to Bryant's drop.

What I didn't see from other receivers were the completely dominant, man-beast catches against a top tier corner like Dez had.

You have to make that play in the 4th quarter. Dez is a top 3 Reciever in the league but that's a play he needs to make. It probably didn't cost us the game but it sure helped

I don't know if it's fair to call him top 3 yet-- top 3 in talent for sure, but very debatable on standing.

But yeah, you're right. Those are the plays that need to be made. I don't disagree. I'm just saying that it happens.

Feed him the damn ball. He's the best player on this team and we heard all off-season how he's ready to dominate. Nothing more frustrating than watching our offense get inside the redone and not even give him a chance on a jump ball, something he's been automatic at since his rookie year. Stop making this more complicated than it needs to be, feed the beast.

Wrong, absolutely wrong. Since you don't understand football let me clue you in. NFL football is the ULTIMATE team sport. It takes all 46 players to come together to win a game. All teams are that closely matched. Romo wasn't perfect yesterday, but you can't put the blame soley on him. Only a hater, such as yourself, would do that. Dunbar fumbled also. Dez dropping a TD pass. Fred was responsible for 2 sacks. The running game was responsible for 36 yards. Even Hatcher blamed the defense for not stopping the Chiefs late in the 4th qtr. You're either ignorant or just trolling with your remark.

When did dez drop a td pass? You mean the one a midfield tha if he had caught he was angling out of bounds at the 45 of he chiefs? That td?

Yeah it happens to the best of them, as long as its not a recurring theme... But I remember him last year dropping a 2pt conversion against the Ravens that would have tied the game with a few seconds left in the game and I'm hoping he's not going to be that guy who can't make a play when it counts... Hopefully just a coincidence

Probably not a TD on that play but he caught it around mid field and had room to run another 15-20 yards...

I am sick of reading articles saying if Dez would have caught that ball ...an elite receiver can't do that..all crap , I watched Calvin drop a few passes yesterday too ...does that mean he's not an elite receiver,,,right, I don't think so...Very few ever mention the fact that Murray can't get out of his own way ...I guess its just easier to get on the guy that continues to produce...sorry but it was bothering me.

The lad didn't do himself a favor by predicting an MVP season. I know, he did not predict it, but he all but said so when he forecast astronomical receiving yardage this season. His first game was a bust because of double coverage. This game was a step toward his projected form.
The thing is, the ball was catchable. He did not catch it and people notice. so the criticism was expected.
But half no fear: Jerra has already consoled him and tolt him it was alright to not catch perfectly thown balls. (Next on Jerra's agenda: Consoling Callahan for his game scripted from the Air Coryell era that largely did not work. And here I was thinking Callahan would emphasize the ground game, silly me.)

Well he didn't forecast an astronomical season either. He was asked if it was possible and he basically said it was. He never said the words 2000 ever, but he said it was possible.

“I’m so confident,” Bryant said. “I view myself as an up-and-coming leader. That’s how I view myself. With that attitude, you have to feel like anything’s possible. That’s how I feel.”

Not to mention, when Irvin said he would have an MVP season, Dez kind of side stepped the nomination by saying he needs to help Romo be the MVP.

He didn't drop that one, Jimmy Smith did a good job disrupting the catch. Obviously we expect Dez to be automatic in those situations, but sometimes the defense just wins. More often than not, Dez wins those battles and that's all we can really ask for.

No, the one where if he would've caught the ball it would've been a TD.

Wrong time to worry about Dez, he has gotten more respect and attention from other teams than perhaps any other player on this team other than Ware since the middle of last season.

I don't recall mentioning 2,000. But he did say the hmmm yards were possible. OK, he said it but didn't. . . .
Suffice to say our expectations are high and not low like his posse's pants.
I hope he does become an MVP and make 2,000 yards and there are still 14 games left.

I haven't seen too much criticism of Dez. Sure the drop was huge, but the bigger problem IMO was the many opportunities Dez never got in that game. Too busy throwing 3 yd outs to RBs and TEs when dez is being covered by an inferior player. and yes, i realize Flowers is considered an above average CB.

Or too busy throwing a screen to a receiver surrounded by defenders inside the 10 yard-line.

Did I say Romo only had one bad series ? So don't act like that's what I said.

I said Romo would play good for the majority of a game, then come 4th qtr he'd throw an interception or make a crucial mistake. What Dez did against KC was no different, he lit them up for the whole game, but come 4th qtr with the game on the line, he mad a crucial drop. The only difference here is you're giving Dez a pass, but whether you like it or not, they are very similar situations.

As for the super man catch, Dez should make those catches, I remember just recently many here claimed he was an elite WR in the NFL. An elite WR makes that catch, and he did. It was a superb catch.

You are right that aan elite receeiver makes that catch but the problem I have is I also see elite qb's make that throw like it is routine. Two steps on the defender is supposed to be money, not back spasms at the end of the game for laying out.

Is that so? I guess Tom Brady and Peyton Manning aren't great then because when I watched them both I seen them each miss a WR for a WIDE OPEN touchdown.

That is true but if you look over Romo's record of throws in this situation its pretty bad, Brady and Manning may miss occasionally but Romo occasionally makes the throw. Yes I do like Romo as qb just calling it how I see it and I've said this before.
