Why does it seem every time we need them to step up they just fall apart? I see Chris canty do this stupid bow after a freaking tackle, and ask myself what have you done? I am tored of seeing guys Like ELLIS bust his *** week after week and lose. Its nice to Ware making plays, but man where is Spears? ferggy? Canty? Akin? James? Newman? and what the hell is with this watkins kid? I know Newman is a decent CB but he is far from a shut down corner, and williams? what a joke.. Hey roy instead of being so good at the horse collar why don't you try actually covering someone? Shockey pimp slapped you. I cant believe this Defense got so much hype this offseason. Y'all better step up or Steve Smith is going to make you guys his B**chs

I'm tired of seeing the defense get a turnover or make a stop and the offense do nothing with it.

That is disheartening to the defense, they can only do so much. Maybe things will finally change with Romo.

JP I agree, but damn it seems like teams move at will against this defense all the time.

I completely agree, no big plays when it matters. This defense is a fraud until they show up in a game like this.

you know what Im tired of?

seeing every individual get blamed for a loss.

Maybe you played football, maybe not. But you win on offense defense AND special teams..

maybe IF bledsoe didnt throw that INT we win.

Maybe IF Coughlin doesn't "negoiate"(to qoute the mnf crew) with the refs they get the ball on the 19 and not the 25 and kick a field goal.

maybe IF Thompson didnt run full speed straight ahead, and tried cutting for once we'd have a decent kick return for once.

maybe IF watkins made a play we win

maybe IF Roy doesnt run into a ref he knocks the ball lose.

maybe IF to catches that 4th and 2..

Who cares. We lose, the TEAM loses. Stop blaming every individual. there are no need for all these threads. enough said, WE lost. Roy didnt lose us the game. DALLAS lost the game. BP didnt lose, DALLAS lost. Its gonna say:

NYG
Philly
DALLLLLLLLAASSSSS - NOT BP, NOt ROY, Not DREW, but DALLAS
then wash.

All blame belongs to Carpenter. I didn't see him at all tonight.

The defense should be ashamed to collect their paychecks this week. They were confused by formations, they couldn't stop the run and they were torched by another deep ball.

Football is a simple game at it's essence. You win and lose at the LOS and we lost on both sides of the ball tonight, right from the opening kick.

Our Dline got pushed around all night long.

Ware and Ellis look pretty good outside, but at some point the DLine and ILB's gotta make some plays.

The great thing about blitzing and not getting to the QB is, that it usually kills you. Unless the instruction on the playsheet say;

Rush 7. Be sure to engage every blocker, and never let go.....

the front seven needs a serious gut check.

Exactly. The 2 TOs we got early were the only reason the game was even close in the 2nd quarter. When we started giving the ball back, we had no chance.

It's easy to single our players on our D that looks average tonight but the bottom line is the entire team looked that way.

Huh? He has been easily the best shutdown cornerback in the NFL for the past 25 games. He allowed one long catch tonight, but he also got an interception in the end zone. Isn't that what people wanted from him?

and what the *** is with this watkins kid?

He's a rookie.

Shockey had one catch against Williams out of numerous attempts. In case you haven't noticed, that's a lot less than Shockey usually gets.

I wish we would stop blitzing Roy.

We need all the coverage we can get, keep the safeties back. Course, him in coverage hasn't been pretty either.

Um. Yeah, actually. He prevented what would have been another score for NY. That was nice.

Of course, it didn't matter in the end.....but it was nice to see at the time.

Certainly, the defense was not very good. But I am sure we will be graced with statistical analysis attempting to debunk that. I am well aware of Eli's numbers. We all saw the game. This is not an impact unit and it hasn't been for a long time.

By tomorrow, there will be. You can pretty much be assured that.

Im sure they love that the offense turns the ball over, or goes 3 and out more often than not.

No other way to say it, tonight, we sucked on both sides of the ball. Wasn't especially one or the other, they both sucked.

So you'd rather have him give up three points, then save three points instead of not giving up anything and not saving anything?

Personally, I'd rather have him not give up anything. That long catch by Burress -- good coverage, by the way, just nearly impossible to defend -- could have led to a touchdown. Fortunately, we held them to a field goal after it.
