I love how you fools are trying to rationalize your teams awful choke job. Good ahead, root for Green Bay. And it's hilarious that you guys are accusing the Giants of excessive trash talking! What about Patrick big Choke Crayton, the loud-mouthed overrated barely mediocre receiver on your choke-tastic team. How's that big contract extension looking? It's funny I'd say the epitome of classlessness is that old, decrepit saggy-faced owner of yours sending tickets to the GIANTS game to all of the cowboys. Wow you guys just suck.

Actually, I think they have an excellent chance to beat the Packers next week.

Regardless, the Giants are the 5th Seed and made it to the NFCCG, so they are playing with house money now.

The pressure is all on Green Bay. I like Green Bay in that game, but I wouldn't be suprised to see the Giants pull it out.

I think Favre will pick apart that secondary....:bang2:
meh... .I thought we would too. :bang2:

Yep, and when we played the Green Bay Packers, they said Brett Favre would pick the Cowboys apart too, heck Darren Sharper, a member of another team was even saying it.

I think the Packers are a better team, I just wouldn't be surpised if the Giants win.

The epitome of classless is spouting about something that does not exist, fool.
Everyone here is pretty much calling it what it is, with no amount of rationalizing.

Everyone is mocking Craytons stupidity and saying Strahan has earned the right to talk.

Keep trying.

All week long, Michael Strahan would tap his helmet in practice. After a while, his teammates all knew what that meant: Use your head, keep your head, it's all mental. Even during the game you could see him tapping his helmet to remind his cohorts. For the most part, the Giants kept thier heads, while the Cowboys lost theirs.

How do you explain, for example, usual nice guy Leonard Davis diving into a pile of---Michael Strahan??!! Yes, and he did it in the backfield with Strahan laid out on his belly on the turf. Did Davis not learn in his long seven years in the league that there is an umpire standing right freaking there on every freaking play to watch that the QB isn't manhandled? Of course, Davis launched his 6-6, 355 pound frame onto Strahan just as his teammate, Jason Witten, was catching the ball for a 10 yd. first down, destroying another opportunity, as part of the Cowboys all-out effort to beat themselves.

Then there was Jacques Reeves, who was instumental in helping the Giants with what I feel was the drive that won the game. With 48 seconds to go & 70 yds. to pay dirt, I would say maybe five % of teams even score at all. Even less when it's 48 seconds to go until half time. Most teams feel, heh, we'll give it a try or two. If we don't get big yds. right away, just kneel until the half. Not the Giants.

They were determined to get points. Steve Smith, the small but gifted rookie WR from USC, would play a huge part in this one. On his second big catch of the drive, Reeves gave the Giants 15 free yds., and a big dose of momentum. As Smith was obviously hurrying to get out of bounds after a catch, Reeves, in his infinate wisdom, tried to seperate Smith's head from his shoulders by hanging on to Smith's face mask for 10 seconds or so. (Well, it seemed that long, anyway). What was Reeves thinking? With both of their bodies heading towards to sidelines, did Reeves think he could defy the law of physics & keep Smith from going out of bounds?! The guy is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

The two off-sides penalties by our starting OLBs that gave up first downs after we had stopped them speaks for themselves, as do the 2-3 false starts by Columbo, and Flo's mandatory misstep or two.

Add these to the 50 yd. return given up by special teams, and the sure TD drop by Fasano, and it was definately a team effort.

I just pray that when the draft comes around, mental apptitude & GPAs are scrutinized as much as 40 times & 225 lb. bench presses. We either start getting a lot smarter around here, or this drought is going to continue ad nauseum. Just give me 11 DeMarcus Wares on defense, & 11 MBIIIs on offense, and we go undefeated next year.......a guy can wish, can't he?

Strahan is a seasoned veteran who has played in a Super Bowl. That's huge this time of year.
He knew that what separates teams in the playoffs is their mental preparation and elimination of mistakes.
The Cowboys, I felt, thought if they just played their game, they'd win.
I don't think they mentally prepared as well as they could have.

I posted the following with no replies....but I thought the same:

I am not the most technical football guy....but...

It seemed to me that we were playing right into the Giants hands playing that grind out it football style and not what it seemed to me all season, the Romo "Gun-o" Show.

It seems to limit opportunities for the big play....and playing that style you HAVE to make the most of opportunities when you have them..

Of course Romo was running for his life in that 4th quarter...pitiful....

Just wondering your thougths....I could be completely wrong about that....

Because it was a huge penalty?

I thought Bigg lost his composure on that play.

I was more annoyed with him emphatically telling Coughlin to throw the challenge flag after Terrell Owens' TD catch.
