I offer this. Just maybe the flow of the game changed permanently when the referee got in Roy's way on the game's first score. Having only watched the t.v. replays from last night and this morning, I get this eerie feeling that Roy was in position to shift Plaxico Burress' intestines to his back! Roy's emotional outburst wasn't because he missed an INT., rather it was his disgust because he knew he had Burress in the crosshairs and was prepared to unload.

Consider the emotion that would have driven us after a hit such as this andthe impending removal of Burress for at least the rest of the game....

just my thoughts since its all speculation.

I saw the same thing. I wasn't even looking for the int. I was looking for the hit that would have jarred the ball lose and sent PB to the canvas for the count. Wasted opportunity.

That would have been at least a bone-jarring hit and perhaps an interception. It was a big play and set the tone for the rest of the game.

Along with the overturned Fumble, yeah, they didn't help.

exactly.. that ref shifted the entire momentum of the game.. I'm not kidding.. that would have been 3 and out, Cowboys get the ball.. instead, its a 7 point lead and it takes emotion out of the crowd and the players.. it was big, no doubt..

When that play happened I had a sick feeling in my stomach that it might be one of those nights.

It was...

The int at the end of the half and the int at the beginning of the 3rd quarter were important turning points of the game. We had the momentum and both QB's gave it back. Both QB's had the opportunity to throw the ball away and made a poor decision.

I also believe the missed opportunity on the flee flicker was also a turning point. We had way too many plays with LB's and DL's having free shots at the QB.

It's too bad Roy couldn't have just blasted the ref right into Plax somehow. That would have been perfect. Breakup the play and teach the idiot ref to stay out of the way.
