It’s time; this will be Henson’s third year with the Cowboys. Throw him to the wolves, let him start next year. Now is the time, let him sink or swim, this team needs a direction. Old retreads aren’t the answer! Yes, they may do it once in a blue moon. However, I want to win consistently over a long period of time with several Championships thrown in.
Growing pains always hurt, I realize that. To grow we will have to feel this pain sooner or later. Let’s stop stalling, let the kid play. We need to know what he’s learned, if he can stand up to the pressure if he has a future. The same can be said about Romo. Let them battle it out during training camp, best man wins!
Once our QB position reveals itself, we’ll be able to move forward. If Romo or Henson fail, we’ll have an excellent chance to draft a player like Brady Quinn. If either show promise, we’ll be able to build an offense around their talents.
Bledsoe isn’t the long term answer. I wouldn’t mind seeing him next year if a quality QB falls to us in the draft. Give the kid a year under him; learning and developing for the following season. A plan to develop a future QB, that is all I’m asking.
